  • Publication number: 20040065225
Abstract: The invention relates to a bath for the electrodeposition of gold and gold alloys and to its use for producing dental moldings. In this bath, the gold is in the form of a gold sulfite complex. The bath according to the invention and/or the use according to the invention is distinguished by the fact that in addition to the optional presence of further metals and standard additives for gold sulfite baths of this type, there is at least one bismuth compound. This bismuth compound is preferably a complex compound, in particular with the complex-forming agents NTA, HEDTA, TEPA, DTPA, EDNTA or EDTA.

  • Patent number: 5560742
Abstract: Gold-free palladium-silver alloys for dentures [dental prostheses] which alloys can be veneered without color changes with dental ceramics and can be easily removed from the mold after the casting contain 45 to 80% by weight palladium, 7 to 50% by weight silver, 0 to 5% by weight gold, 0 to 5% by weight tin, 0 to 5% by weight indium, 0 to 3% by weight zinc, 0 to 2% by weight copper, 0 to 1% by weight ruthenium, iridium and/or rhenium, 0 to 7% by weight gallium, 0 to 5% by weight cobalt and 0 to 3% by weight germanium, whereby of the elements gallium, cobalt and germanium at least two must be present with contents totalling 2 to 9% by weight.

  • Patent number: 5094689
Abstract: Gold preparations are used for the production of highly porous coatings on metal surfaces by means of sintering. 1 to 10% by weight of a pore former is added to these gold preparations, the pore former comprises a material which suddenly decomposes or evaporates at 700.degree. to 1050.degree. C. and escapes from the layer without leaving a residue. Plastics and dental waxes in powder form are preferably used to this end.

  • Patent number: 4952150
Abstract: In dental technology, in order to match root posts to curved root canals, the fixation part consists of a material with mechanical properties, such as ductility and flexural rigidity, that permit topical matching of the fixation part to the curved root canal. For example, the ductility increases from the oral side of the fixation part to the root apex.
