The laminated core (5) is arranged axially between a first end plate (6) and a second end plate (7) arranged on the rotor shaft (3). The laminated core (5) includes multiple axial ducts (8) for guiding the coolant through the rotor (2). The axial ducts (8) are fluidically connected to at least one distribution duct (9) in the particular end plate (6, 7) for the inflow of the coolant. The axial ducts (8) are fluidically connected to at least one return duct (16) in the particular other end plate (7, 6) for the outflow of the coolant. The at least one distribution duct (9) in the particular end plate (6, 7) is fluidically connected to the at least one cooling duct (4) at the rotor shaft (3).

A cooling line (6) for introducing a coolant into at least one distribution duct (7) at the particular end plate (4, 5) is arranged outside the end plates (4, 5) and the stator (2) and is fluidically connected to the at least one distribution duct (7) in the particular end plate (4, 5). The laminated core (3) includes multiple axial ducts (8) for guiding the coolant through the stator (2). The axial ducts (8) are fluidically connected to the at least one distribution duct (7) in the particular end plate (4, 5) for the inflow of the coolant. An outflow for the coolant is formed by at least one end-face opening (9) in the particular end plate (4, 5). The at least one opening (9) is configured for spraying the coolant out of the axial ducts (8) onto winding overhangs (10) of the stator (2).

Additionally, the plastic body defines at least one channel for accommodating a coolant, the at least one channel having a first portion extending circumferentially along at least 40% of the end face of the first winding overhangs, a second portion extending along an outer circumferential surface of the stator, and a third portion extending circumferentially along at least 40% of the end face of the second winding overhangs.
