  • Patent number: 4443994
Abstract: A mechanical bricklaying device is disclosed for successively laying a plurality of individual bricks in a given geometrical pattern contained in a horizontal plane. The bricklaying device has a vertical support and a positioning member for positioning a brick in the horizontal plane at a given distance from the vertical support. The positioning member includes a brick guide and a connecting arm connected at one end with the brick guide for supporting the guide in the horizontal plane. The other end of the connecting arm of the positioning member is connected for movement relative to the vertical support, whereby a horizontal layer of successive bricks may be formed having a desired geometrical configuration. In one embodiment, the bricklaying device is adapted to form a layer of bricks having a linear configuration and in a second embodiment, the device is adapted to form a layer of bricks having a curved configuration.

  • Patent number: 4346002
Abstract: An improved waterless toilet for aerobic biological transformation of organic waste material is disclosed. The toilet is located at a position remote from a compartment wherein waste material is aerobically transformed. The toilet is connected to the compartment by a conduit. Organic waste is deposited into the toilet and a subsequently applied vacuum aids in the transporting of the waste material through the conduit to the compartment. Prior to depositing organic waste material into the toilet, a cup-shaped paper wrapping means is inserted into the toilet. Thereafter the vacuum is applied to the paper wrapping means and waste material to cause the paper wrapping to close around the waste material as it enters the conduit. Utilizing paper wrapping means, the toilet is protected from soiling by the organic waste material when it is deposited in the toilet.

  • Patent number: 4333831
Abstract: An improved apparatus for treatment of sewage is disclosed in which the overflow fluid sewage from a septic tank is directed into at least one enclosed evaporation tank having at least one upwardly extending vapor stack. A conduit may be provided for introducing a flow of air into the evaporation tank thereby facilitating evaporation of the fluid sewage. Return flow of condensate from the vapor stack into the evaporation tank is prevented by a baffle member and drain conduit operatively associated with the vapor stack.

  • Patent number: 4105412
Abstract: A portable compost container including a base section for receiving fertilizer sap and having outlet means to draw off the sap therefrom. A perforate inner section is supported by the base section into which decomposable garbage and waste is placed, the perforate section having access means to permit removal of compost from the lower portion thereof. An imperforate section is placed over the perforate section and is supported by the base section, the imperforate section being removable for ready access to the perforate inner section. A lid covers the container.
