  • Publication number: 20120204630
Abstract: A method is provided for operating a crash simulation device for motor vehicles. Providing an accelerable slide, fastening a first additional mass to the slide, performing a preliminary test subject to capturing of the acceleration curve, comparing the captured acceleration curve with a desired acceleration curve, performing a further preliminary test with changed setting of the components that are decisive for the acceleration curve of the slide. If the sensed acceleration curve deviates from the desired acceleration curve, removing the first additional mass from the slide when the captured acceleration curve corresponds to the set acceleration curve, fastening to the slide, arranging a moveable dummy and carrying out a real test with the settings of the components decisive for the acceleration curve made in the preliminary test or the preliminary tests. Arranging a moveable second additional mass on the slide before carrying out the at least one of the test.

  • Patent number: 5297375
Abstract: A method and apparatus for sealingly closing a pack for liquids in which the top of the pack is provided with a hole into which is fitted a pouring device that includes a cup-like recess which defines a flange. The apparatus includes a pivot device that pivots about a main horizontal axis. The pivot device includes several mandrels onto which the pouring devices are to be individually mounted. The mandrels are rotatable about their respective longitudinal axes to allow a thread of adhesive to be applied to the flange of each pouring device so that the pouring device can be subsequently attached to the top of the pack by joining the flange of the pouring device to the collar of the hole in the pack.

  • Patent number: 4653929
Abstract: An apparatus for adding a first granular material which is disposed in a first container to a second granular material is provided and includes a conveyor conduit connected to a conveyor means, and a feed conduit communicating with the conveyor conduit for the feed of the first granular material which is to be added. In order to be able more easily to mix substances in powder or granular form, wherein the mixing ratio is to be continuously adjustable, the invention provides that disposed below the outlet opening of the first container containing the granular material to be added is a gap which is formed between two rollers. A communicating passage is provided between the gap and the feed conduit to provide the first granular material. By varying the width of the gap, the amount of the first granular material added may be quantitatively controlled.
