  • Patent number: 4255838
Abstract: A support for an electrical busbar, made of plastic material, has a recess for holding a busbar. The lower surface of the recess is a resiliently flexible plate supported in the middle by a rib and provided with projections at opposite sides. Adjacent to the mouth of the recess is a resilient detent arm. When a busbar is inserted, it depresses the arm and at least one of the projections by flexing of the plate. The stress in the plate clamps the busbar in the recess, and the arm snaps into place behind the inserted busbar. One of the projections may serve as an end stop for the busbar, if the support is placed at the busbar end. This form of support is easy to manufacture and to use, and provides very reliable clamping and location of the busbar.

  • Patent number: 4253629
Abstract: A guiding and marking member for electric cables has a plurality of resiliently deformable wings on one side of a support plate and their ends converge in V configuration to define a cable holder adjacent to the plate and an insertion slit spaced from the plate which merges into the cable holder. The cable holder wing ends lightly grip the inserted cable. On its other side the support plate has latching receptacles into which marking plates are detachably latched.

  • Patent number: 4234239
Abstract: An earthing terminal for mounting on a support rail having a channel section with outwardly turned flanges comprises a yoke of bent sheet metal with a pair of hooks to fit under the flanges, and a metal clamping member with terminals, disposed between respective side parts of the yoke. The yoke has on each side part a lug, the ends of which are bent over to form flanges in which is threaded a clamping screw which contacts the metal member. By means of the clamping screw, the flanges of the support rail can be clamped between the hooks of the yoke, and adjacent parts of the metal member.

  • Patent number: 4149766
Abstract: A screwless electrical terminal unit comprises a pair of parallel channels for receiving respective conductors, with the open sides of the channels facing one another. Between the channels is mounted a W-shaped leaf spring with its central bend mounted on a retaining member, each outer bend adjoining an abutment between the outer bends to limit movement of the latter, and the free limbs extending obliquely towards respective channels for clamping conductors therein. Such an arrangement ensures that manipulation of one limb of the spring has no effect on the clamping of a conductor by the other limb. A rocker member may be provided for selectively moving the free limbs from their conductor-clamping positions.
