  • Publication number: 20240370397
Abstract: An idle plug and play port freezing and carbon dioxide (CO2) minimizing system executing on an information handling system may comprise a plug and play device controller, processor, or embedded controller executing code instructions of the idle plug and play port freezing and CO2 minimizing system to receive a notification that a user presence is not detected and to identify a first peripheral device port operably connected to a first peripheral device from among a plurality of peripheral device ports, where the first peripheral device port has an associated first peripheral device communications profile that indicates a status of push notifications enablement with the first peripheral device, and to cease power supply to the first peripheral device port in the absence of a read/write session currently executing on the peripheral device port and no push notifications enabled to decrease power consumption and CO2 emissions.

  • Patent number: 11755391
Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method comprising receiving, by a processor computer from a coordination computer, a push transfer instruction message comprising a recipient address associated with a recipient, a data item, and a time period for transferring the data item to a recipient account associated with the recipient address. The method also includes storing, by the processor computer, the push transfer instruction message. After the time period, the push transfer instruction message comprising the data item is transmitted to a recipient authorizing entity computer associated with the recipient address to transfer the data item.

  • Patent number: 11301258
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may initiate a chat session with a software agent on a server. During the chat session, the software agent may ask questions and receive answers in response. The server may process logs sent from the computing device and a transcript of the chat session to identify tokens. A supervised learning model on the server may select a script based on the tokens and send the script to the computing device. The computing device may store the script in non-volatile memory and boot into a setup state of a basic input output system (BIOS) of the computing device. The BIOS may retrieve the script, convert BIOS procedure calls in the script into an action tree, and execute the actions in the action tree, causing a virtual mouse and/or virtual keyboard to provide input to the BIOS to modify the BIOS to address an issue.

  • Publication number: 20150372709
Abstract: A wireless device operates as both a station and one or more access points. In the wireless device, a scan window of a specified duration is requested to start at a first time, to scan for access points external to the wireless device in accordance with operation of the wireless device as a station. It is determined that a beacon scheduled for transmission or reception at a second time conflicts with the requested scan window. In response, the beacon is transmitted or received at the second time and at least a portion of the scan window is delayed until after the beacon has been transmitted or received.
