Patent number: 12244520Abstract: Top-of-rack (TOR) switches are connected to a network fabric of a data center. Each TOR switch corresponds to a rack of the data center, and is configured to provide access to the network fabric for computing devices mounted in the rack. In one method, a client device of a user is used to select various network service options. The service options correspond to services that can be provided to computing equipment of the user that is mounted in various racks of the data center. In response to receiving the selection of one or more service options, the network fabric of the data center is configured to connect the computing equipment to the selected services. In one approach, the network fabric is configured by creating and/or configuring one or more virtual networks to provide the connection to the services.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2022Date of Patent: March 4, 2025Inventors: Jason Anthony Lochhead, Manikandan Subramanian, David Hess, Michael Andra Ballard, Adam Scott Wayne

Patent number: 12231264Abstract: Systems, methods and computer-readable storage media are provided for provisioning network inter-connections and extensions to computing infrastructure. In one embodiment, a system can receive a request from a client to establish a network connection between a private network and a remote network, the request including a selection of a virtual network residing at the private network; establish a transit connection between the virtual network and an exchange port established in association with the private network; establish a first network connection between the exchange port and an intermediary cross connect network; establish a second network connection between the intermediary cross connect network and the remote network; and extend a virtual local area network (VLAN) connected to the virtual network of the client at the private network to the remote network via the network connection, the network connection comprising the first network connection and the second network connection.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2022Date of Patent: February 18, 2025Inventors: Jason Anthony Lochhead, Manikandan Subramanian, Adam Scott Wayne

Patent number: 12177204Abstract: Techniques for certificate authority (CA) selection are described. A certificate management service of a cloud provider network receives a first request to generate a certificate from an electronic device, the first request including an indication of an identity of a user and an identification of a domain name to associate with the certificate. A CA selection policy applicable to the first request is identified, the CA selection policy including a CA selection rule. A CA to generate the certificate is identified by evaluating the CA selection rule, the CA selection rule associates at least a portion of the domain name with the CA. A second request to generate the certificate is sent to the identified CA. The certificate or an identification of the certificate from the CA is returned to the electronic device.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2022Date of Patent: December 24, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Manikandan Subramanian, Marcel Andrew Levy, Blake P Hess

Publication number: 20240403238Abstract: Various embodiments include techniques for managing pre-fetch data in a computing system. A memory controller receives pre-fetch operations from a pre-fetch generator associated with a processing unit. The pre-fetch operations identify data that is likely to be accessed by the processing unit in the near future. In response, the memory controller retrieves read data associated with the read operations from system memory and stores the read data in a pre-fetch buffer included in the memory controller. The memory controller further receives status data via a low-latency signal path. The status data indicates information about each read operation, such as if the read operation can be serviced by a cache memory and whether the read operation is delayed but is to be transmitted to the memory controller. In response, the memory controller purges data from or holds data in the pre-fetch buffer based on the status data.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2023Publication date: December 5, 2024Inventor: Manikandan SUBRAMANIAN

Patent number: 12067036Abstract: Techniques for managing certificate metrics are described. A method of managing certificate metrics can include adding certificate data associated with one or more certificates to a plurality of slots of a metric certificate data store, reading, by a metric publisher, the certificate data associated with a first slot of the metric certificate data store in response to an event, determining a metric associated with each certificate associated with a subset of the certificate data associated with the first slot of the metric certificate data store, and providing the metric associated with each certificate to a resource monitoring service.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2023Date of Patent: August 20, 2024Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Manikandan Subramanian, Marcel Andrew Levy

Publication number: 20240106711Abstract: Top-of-rack (TOR) switches are connected to a network fabric of a data center. Each TOR switch corresponds to a rack of the data center, and is configured to provide access to the network fabric for computing devices mounted in the rack. In one method, a TOR switch is mounted in a rack. The TOR switch is connected to a network fabric of a data center. A lock is used to control physical access to the rack. A request to physically access the rack is received from a computing device (e.g., a badge implementing a security token, or a mobile device). The request includes authentication credentials. The computing device is then authenticated. In response to authenticating the computing device, the lock is configured to provide physical access to the rack.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 30, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Jason Anthony Lochhead, Manikandan Subramanian, David Hess, Michael Andra Ballard, Adam Scott Wayne
