    Abstract: Example embodiments in the disclosure relate to providing a highly available DHCP service using a plurality of DHCP servers running on a blockchain network. The highly available DHCP service may be provided by running a blockchain network of DHCP servers that: i) share a common pool of IP addresses that are assigned to client devices; and ii) maintain a copy of a blockchain containing a record of communications between servers and clients relating to allocation of IP addresses to clients from the common IP address pool.
