  • Publication number: 20230036683
Abstract: A technique for wireless communications, comprising: determining a first channel state information (CSI) based on a current receive beam; determining a second CSI based on the current receive beam; determining a correlation metric between the first CSI and the second CSI; based a comparison between the determined correlation metric and a threshold value, determining to transmit the first or second CSI in response to a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) received from a wireless node; determining a third CSI based on a candidate receive beam and the reference signal; and selecting the candidate receive beam based on the measured third CSI.

  • Patent number: 11540185
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to prioritize cells that support EN-DC over similar cells not supporting EN-DC. The UE may be configured to perform one or more measurement scans associated with cell selection and/or cell re-selection and may determine whether at least two LTE cells meet a selection criteria based on RSRP and/or SNR measurements. The UE may be configured to, in response to determining that at least two LTE cells meet the selection criteria, prioritize a first LTE cell of the at least two LTE cells over a second LTE cell of the at least two LTE cells based, at least in part, on support EN-DC. The first LTE cell may indicate support of EN-DC, e.g., via a ULI IE included in a SIB2 broadcast by the first LTE cell. The UE may be configured to select the first LTE cell for camping.

  • Patent number: 10952147
Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for opportunistically depowering receiver chains of a wireless device. Based on control information, a device may determine whether the current number of active receiver chains can be reduced while maintaining a target achievable code rate for a period of data reception associated with the control information. Additionally, the device may generate and use a lookup table to determine whether to depower receiver chains, and which receiver chains to depower.
