  • Publication number: 20240069874
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described for intelligent imputation of missing data in a machine learning (ML) dataset comprised of a plurality of features. Each feature includes a plurality of values, where at least a portion of the values for one or more features are missing. A server analyzes the ML dataset to generate characteristics of the missing values in the ML dataset. The server selects an imputation algorithm for filling in the missing values based upon the identified characteristics. The server determines a computing environment in which the imputation algorithm is executed based upon one or more of a size of the ML dataset or the selected algorithm. The server generates code that comprises instructions for executing the imputation algorithm on the ML dataset in the computing environment. The server integrates the code into an ML platform that executes the code to assign replacement values to the missing values.

  • Publication number: 20230098524
Abstract: A movable operator station is disclosed. The movable operator station includes a first base plate, a second base plate, and a first support unit. A multi-tier structure is slidably coupled to the first base plate and is slidable in “X” axis between first and second positions. The second base plate is slidably coupled to the first base plate and is slidable between third and fourth positions. The first support unit is slidably coupled to the second base plate and is slidable along the “X” axis. A set of linking members links the first multi-tier structure to the first support unit. The set of linking members extends or collapses based on a movement of the second base plate along the “Y” axis. The first support unit and the set of linking members form a second multi-tier structure when the second base plate is at the fourth position.

  • Patent number: 10686568
Abstract: An overlay network refers to a network that is implemented as various different virtual resources on a physical network referred to as an underlay network. Diagnostics are performed on the overlay network by injecting diagnostic packets from a source endpoint targeting a target endpoint. These endpoints can be in the overlay network, on-premises with the other endpoint but in a different overlay network, or off-premises form the other endpoint. The diagnostic packets include a data packet encapsulated with a diagnostic encapsulation header that can be removed by a network element in the underlay network to allow processing of the data packet, and then added back on. The network element maintains trace information that is a record of receipt of the diagnostic packet and operations performed on the diagnostic packet. A tracing service collects and analyzes this trace information from the various network elements.

Abstract: The invention provides a composition for forming a hydrophobic material, the composition being made by combining: a perfluorinated amine compound comprising at least two amine moieties, such as a compound made by combining a straight or branched chain C1-10 alkyl amine having at least two amine groups per molecule, with a straight or branched chain C1-12 perfluorinated carboxylic acid confining at least one —COOH group per molecule; an epoxy compound comprising at least two epoxy moieties; a lubricant, such as a perfluorinated polyether; a population of nanoparticles; and a solvent. Hydrophobic materials formed by evaporation of the solvent from such a composition are also provided as are intermediates excluding the lubricant which are used in the formation of such compositions. Such compositions are used in the formation of hydrophobic and particularly superhydrophobic surfaces. Advantageously these compositions are useful to form robust surface coatings that are resistant to mechanical wear.

  • Patent number: 10326838
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described herein for modifying the monitoring of the health of a data center IP endpoint (such as VM) during live migration of the data center IP endpoint from a source host to a destination host. In one example, the described techniques may include receiving an indication that a virtual machine is going to be live migrated from a source host to a destination host. Next, evaluation of health probe responses originating from the virtual machine may be suspended for a time period. The time period may be selected based on the live migration. The evaluation of the probe responses originating from the virtual machine may be resumed upon completion of the time period. In some cases, a health probe status of the virtual machine may be migrated from the source host to the destination host.

  • Publication number: 20150156143
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are operable to display content related to an application using side display screens installed on a multi-display mobile device. As such, embodiments of the present invention can make use of the display surface areas associated with side display screens to render content (e.g., notifications associated with an application) in a power efficient manner. Also, by using separate display buffers for side display screens, embodiments of the present invention can independently render content while other components of the mobile device (e.g., the main display screen) operate within low power mode or “sleep state.” As such, by using side display screen in this fashion, embodiments of the present invention can efficiently utilize the power and computational resources of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 8638762
Abstract: A technique for maintaining network integrity is disclosed. A system according to the technique may include a wired network, a switch, and a wireless access point. The switch can be coupled to the wired network and the wireless access point can be coupled to the switch. The system may further include a forwarding database that stores a mac address for a plurality of devices seen by the switch on the wired network. A method according to the technique may involve detecting identifying information of a device by a wireless access point. The identifying information can be compared with the mac addresses in a forwarding database. If the device is unknown, the unknown device can be classified as rogue and countermeasures can be taken against the rogue device.

  • Patent number: 8514827
Abstract: A technique for wireless network monitoring involves scanning channels using clients instead of access points. An example of a method according to the technique may include, for example, receiving from a wireless access point a command to perform a channel scanning function, listening on a channel associated with the channel scanning function, and sending RF data found on the channel to the wireless access point. Another example of a method according to the technique may include, for example, scanning a first channel, switching from the first channel to a second channel, sending data on the second channel to an access point, switching from the second channel to the first channel, and resuming scanning on the first channel. A system according to the technique may include one or more scanning clients, proxy clients, multi-channel clients, or other clients that are capable of scanning channels in lieu of an access point.

  • Patent number: 8270408
Abstract: A technique for identity based networking is disclosed. A system according to the technique can include a WAN, a first VLAN, a second VLAN, and a network database. The first VLAN and second VLAN can be coupled to the WAN. The network database can include VLAN information. In operation, a client that is authorized on the second VLAN can attempt to connect to the first VLAN. A switch in the WAN can perform a lookup in the network database and determine that the client is authorized on the second VLAN. Based on this information, the client can be connected to the second VLAN using VLAN tunneling.
