  • Publication number: 20070150865
Abstract: The automated configuration of a software system includes receiving natural language configuration instructions which may be from a user configuration document. A user enters or selects the appropriate configuration data into the document. The natural language instructions are converted to system-level language instructions for the software system. In converting the instructions, the conversion may be directed to a particular software system or may be applicable to any number of systems. For each system, system-level language instructions allow for the specific configuration. The system-level language instructions are then provided to the corresponding software system. The system, in response to the instructions, then configures itself. The system-level language instructions include any configuration values in addition to the configuration data.

  • Publication number: 20070124187
Abstract: A cross system workflow management system includes a memory device storing an instruction set. The instruction set includes a plurality of instructions, each instruction having an execution command and a system identifier. The instruction set may also include a data set. A central processing system includes a task processing device. The central processing system receives the instruction set from the memory device. The task processing device routes the first execution command to a first processing device in a first processing environment based on a first system identifier. The first processing device performs the designated operation, generating a data set. Upon completion, the task processing device routes a second execution command to a second processing device based on the second system identifier. The second processing device is disposed in a second processing environment that is different from the first processing environment.

  • Publication number: 20070044099
Abstract: The present invention provides for the adjustment of the timing of a scheduled job including determining when the execution time of a scheduled job is within a predetermined time period. Prior to this time, a job execution notification is generated and submitted to an end user. The notification includes a request for time delay in the event the job should not be executed on the time noted. If the job should be delayed, a user may submit a delay request including a time delay. Upon receipt, an internal timing parameter is temporarily reset based on the delay request. The job is then automatically rescheduled for the prescribed time. If no other delay is incurred, once the job is executed, the internal timing parameter is then reset to its original time value.
