  • Patent number: 12163145
Abstract: Compositions and methods are capable of modulating male fertility in a plant. Compositions comprise polynucleotides and polypeptides, and fragments and variants thereof, which modulate male fertility. Expression cassettes comprise a male-fertility polynucleotide, or fragment or variant thereof, operably linked to a promoter, wherein expression of the polynucleotide modulates the male fertility of a plant. The level and/or activity of a polynucleotide that influences male fertility is modulated in a plant or plant part. Regulatory sequences drive expression in a male-tissue-preferred manner and may be targets to downregulate an operably linked gene. Methods to track mutations that induce nuclear recessive male sterility in subsequent selfing and crossing of wheat lines containing the mutations are also provided. Male-sterile plants may be maintained by pollinating with a maintainer plant.

  • Patent number: 12146148
Abstract: Provided herein are methods and compositions for restoring fertility and maintaining sterility in plants. In particular, one method disclosed includes introducing into a male-sterile plant, wherein the plant comprises one or more homozygous mutations in a male-fertility gene, a plant restoration donor chromosomal component comprising a plant-derived polynucleotide that confers a plant phenotypic marker linked to a male-fertility restoration locus that functionally complements the male-sterility phenotype from the one or more homozygous mutations in the male-sterile plant. In some examples, the plant-derived polynucleotide that confers a plant phenotypic marker and the male-fertility restoration locus are linked to each other and located on the same chromosomal arm on the plant restoration donor chromosomal component. In some examples, the plant-derived polynucleotide that confers a plant phenotypic marker, the male-fertility restoration locus, or both are modified.

  • Publication number: 20240104423
Abstract: Recommending machine learning models is provided. The method comprises training machine learning models, wherein each machine learning model is trained with a unique respective dataset. Metadata associated with each machine learning model is extracted, wherein the metadata includes properties of the respective dataset used to train the machine learning model. The machine learning models and metadata are stored in a model catalog. Upon receiving a new dataset, similarity scores are calculated between the new dataset and the machine learning models in the model catalog according to the properties of the datasets in the metadata of the machine learning models. A closest match machine learning model is identified from the model catalog for the new dataset according to similarity score. Responsive to a determination that the closest match machine learning model exceeds a similarity threshold, predictions for the new dataset are generated with the closest match machine learning model.

  • Publication number: 20240096231
Abstract: A system and method are used to record and present a training video for a software component. The method displays the video recording. The video recording comprises: a display element of the software component, and first recorder activity data (FRAD) of recorder user interface (UI) input activity data (RUIIAD) at a FRAD time with video frame data of the video recording. The method further comprises receiving, during the displaying, viewer UI actions from a UI of the viewing device and converting them to viewer UI input activity data based on viewer interactions with the display element of the software component. Then, first viewer activity data (FVAD) is determined at a FVAD time of the video frame that corresponds to the FRAD, where the FRAD time and the FVAD time differ.
