  • Patent number: 5756720
Abstract: Nonionic and cationic derivatized guar gum which demonstrates greater than 75% light transmission at a wavelength of from about 500-600 nanometers when dispersed in water in the amount of 0.5 parts per 100 parts water and the process for producing such guar gum is disclosed. The compositions are particularly useful for producing products having utility in personal care and industrial cleaning products.

  • Patent number: 5733854
Abstract: A detergent composition useful for cleaning and/or conditioning human hair or skin or cleaning dishes or clothing which contains NaCl or NH.sub.4 Cl and further contains a nonionically and cationically derivatized polygalactomannan, the molecular substitution of the nonionic substituent being between about 0.4 and about 1.2 and the degree of substitution of the cationic substituent being between about 0.20 to about 1.0, said detergent composition having a viscosity of greater than about 500 centipoises and said composition having greater than 75% light transmission at a wavelength of from about 500-600 nanometers is provided. Also disclosed is the use of an amphoteric and nonionic substituted derivatized polygalactomannan for such uses.

  • Patent number: 4895668
Abstract: A synergistic aqueous lubricant composition which comprises one or more carboxylated surfactants and one or more non-carboxylated surfactants in combination with a soap lubricant.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 4, 1989

  • Patent number: 4627457
Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus for and a method of treating a plurality of zones of a processing line with a liquid, the liquid comprising a treatment liquid and a carrier liquid, wherein the treatment liquid is introduced into pipes conveying the carrier liquid to each zone as discrete slugs, and wherein the volume of each slug is selectively variable or wherein each slug may be introduced into the pipes at a selectively variable frequency. Preferably the treatment liquid is applied to all zones from a single source, and the slugs, upon discharge at least at one zone, remain substantially concentrated. The invention particularly concerns the lubricating of conveyors as in bottling lines.
