    Abstract: Methods are provided for identifying errors in data relating to at least one electronic payment transaction request. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving data relating to at least one electronic payment request and analyzing the electronic payment request data based upon a predefined set of rules. Specifically, the data that makes up the electronic payment request data is reviewed to ensure that it meets the predefined rules. A report is then generated that identifies which predefined rule(s) were not met for each type of electronic payment request data that is received. In one example, this process may be repeated until the electronic payment request data of the data file meets the predefined rules for the data types that are included in the data file. Systems are also disclosed.
