  • Publication number: 20220379075
Abstract: A wetting device for wetting a catheter. The wetting device has an enclosure bounding the wetting device and enclosing a chamber, the enclosure having at least two wetting device apertures in a surface of the enclosure though which a catheter tube passes. The wetting device also has a port disposed through the enclosure thereof for loading wetting agent into the chamber.

  • Patent number: 11420017
Abstract: A urinary catheter wetting apparatus (121) has a chamber defined by a forward section (123) opposite to a rearward section (125) each having an aperture (143,153) of which are axially aligned. A catheter tube is connected to a connector (161), the latter of which spans the chamber and initially seals the two apertures. The connector is slideable through the first facial surface (129) of forward section and the second end wall (131) of the rearward section so the catheter tube can be drawn through the chamber. A wetting applicator (151) holding a wetting agent is disposed in the chamber. Upon use, the connector passes through the chamber, applying pressure to the wetting applicator, thereby releasing the wetting agent from the wetting applicator and onto the catheter tube as it follows the connector through the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220260562
Abstract: A biomarker detection device having a detection layer configured to detect one or more biomarkers in a biological sample and a transfer layer in direct contact with a first surface of the detection layer; wherein the transfer layer is configured to deliver the biological sample directly to the detection layer and wherein an observation window is provided on a second surface of the detection layer opposite the transfer layer and wherein there is no adhesive between the transfer layer and the detection layer in the region in register with the observation window. The detection layer may comprise two or more detection zones. The biomarker detection device may be part of a medical device, such as a swab receptacle. The device may comprise any one or more of: an adhesive layer, a label comprising a printed marking, a fixing element configured to attach or adhere the device to another object.

  • Publication number: 20210190767
Abstract: Wound sampling devices for detecting infection status may be used for point-of-care devices that can be placed at a wound site and detect an infection marker, infection status, or wound healing status by displaying a visible signal such as a color change.

  • Patent number: 10849639
Abstract: A retrieval device may have a contracted state and an expanded state and may include a sheath defining a longitudinal axis; a first arm, a second arm, and a third arm; a first member extending between a distal end of the first arm and a distal end of the third arm; and a second member extending between a distal end of the second arm and the distal end of the third arm. In the expanded state and from a distal-end view, the first and second members and the distal ends of the first arm, second arm, and third arm may form a V-shape with an open mouth.
