    Abstract: An apparatus and method for receiving and processing weather data and flight plan data is disclosed. A processor is configured to receive flight plan data containing at least a moving path of an aircraft; receive weather data containing at least positional information and weather characteristics; compare the positional information of the weather data with the flight plan data; determine if the weather characteristics impact a predetermined operating condition of the aircraft; compare the impact of the weather characteristics to the operating condition with a predetermined threshold value; and provide an indication signal indicating a section of the moving path of the aircraft where the impact of the weather characteristics to the operating condition exceeds the predetermined threshold value.

The event is then selectively annunciated to the authorized, intended recipient.
