  • Patent number: 12195999
Abstract: An exemplary ring lock generally includes a housing, a shackle, a lock cylinder, and a first frangible component. The shackle is movable relative to the housing between an open position and a closed position. The lock cylinder is operable to maintain the shackle in the closed position, and is selectively operable to permit movement of the shackle from the closed position to the open position. The first frangible component is configured to break in response to application of a first threshold torque to the lock cylinder. With the first frangible component broken, the lock cylinder is prevented from permitting movement of the shackle from the closed position to the open position.

  • Publication number: 20240384563
Abstract: A lock apparatus generally includes a connecting portion, a housing, a primary lock, and a secondary lock. The connecting portion is engageable to the housing with a bolt assembly, and the primary lock locks the bolt assembly in the engaged position. The secondary lock arrests the bolt assembly in the engaged and locked condition in response to an attack that displaces the primary lock from a nominal configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240360696
Abstract: An exemplary lock apparatus generally includes a shackle, a crossbar, a lock device, a first bolt, and a trigger. The lock device has a locked state in which the lock device retains a spindle in a spindle locking position, and an unlocked state in which the lock device does not prevent movement of the spindle to a spindle unlocking position. The first bolt is engaged with the spindle such that movement of the spindle between the spindle locking position and the spindle unlocking position drives the first bolt between a first locking position and a first unlocking position. The trigger is movably mounted in the crossbar for movement between an engagement position, in which the trigger maintains the spindle in the spindle unlocking position, and a disengagement position, in which the spindle is operable to move to the spindle locking position.

  • Patent number: 12077986
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a combination lock including a housing configured to lockingly receive a locking link. The lock includes a plurality of outer dials and a plurality of inner dials, each selectively coupled to a corresponding outer dial. A spindle is positioned radially internal to the inner dials. A multiplier link is pivotably connected between the spindle and a locking bolt. Some forms of the combination lock include a tactile feedback mechanism and/or a combination reset mechanism.

  • Patent number: 11828090
Abstract: A hoop lock including a shackle and a crossbar, with the shackle having a pair of legs extending from a body portion, and each of the legs having a foot including a tip with a non-circular cross-section. The cross-bar includes a housing having a pair of foot-receiving openings and a pair of tip-receiving openings substantially aligned with foot-receiving openings. The tip-receiving openings are configured to matingly engage the tips such that the tips are rotationally coupled to the housing.

  • Patent number: 11761244
Abstract: An adjustable latch configured to accommodate different backset lengths. The adjustable latch includes inner and outer housings, at least a portion of the inner housing being structured for axial and rotational displacement within the outer housing as an engagement projection of the inner housing is displaced about an adjustment slot of the outer housing. The apparatus may include a bolt assembly having a bolt rod and a latch bar, the bolt rod having projections that are structured to be adjacent to the latch bar when the bolt rod is at a first rotational position and at first or second axial positions. When the bolt rod is at a second rotational position, the axial positions of the bolt rod and the inner housing relative to at least the latch bar and outer housing, respectively, may be adjusted to adjust the backset setting of the latch.
