  • Patent number: 9535482
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for controlling processor card power consumption are disclosed. In one example, the method is conducted in a network test equipment chassis that includes a plurality of processor cards that implements network testing functions. The method includes detecting an event or status associated with one of the plurality of processor cards and determining whether the event or status satisfies a condition of at least one power management rule. In response to determining that the event or status satisfies a condition of the at least one power management rule, the method further includes adjusting power consumption of the processor card in the network test equipment in accordance with the at least one power management rule.

  • Patent number: 8457128
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of capturing packets and packet receivers to capture packets. A plurality of packets may be received form a network. A timestamp may be attached to each received packet. The timestamped received packet may be distributed among a plurality of capture engines. Each of the plurality of capture engines may store, in a respective capture memory of a plurality of capture memories, at least some timestamped received packets determined to match one or more of a plurality of predetermined capture criteria. A list in timestamp order of contiguous packets stored in the plurality of capture memories may be prepared.

  • Patent number: 7953092
Abstract: There is disclosed a method of capturing packets and packet receivers to capture packets. A timestamp may be attached to each packet received from a network. Each timestamped packet may be routed to a capture engine of a plurality of capture engines. Each of the plurality of capture engines may save at least some packets determined to match one or more of a plurality of predetermined capture criteria. A list of contiguously captured packets in time-stamp order may be prepared.

  • Patent number: 7821962
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for memory access optimization are disclosed. Data unit information may be accumulated for a plurality of data units. Partial network statistics for the plurality of data units may be read sequentially in round robin fashion from each of a plurality of memory banks of a memory. The partial networks statistics may be updated based on the plurality of data units. The updated partial network statistics may be written sequentially in round robin fashion to each of the plurality of memory banks.

  • Patent number: 7123616
Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for determining real-time data latency are disclosed. The method may include creating a plurality of outgoing data packets having an outgoing time stamp and a group identifier. The outgoing data packets may be transmitted onto a network. A plurality of incoming data packets may be received over the network. For each of the incoming data packets, a round-trip time delay for the incoming data packet may be calculated. Statistics for the incoming data packets may be updated based on the round-trip time delay and the group identifier included in the incoming data packet. The method may be implemented on an apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6717917
Abstract: A method of and an electronic apparatus for determining real-time data latency are disclosed. The method may include creating a plurality of outgoing data packets having an outgoing time stamp, a group identifier and validation information. The outgoing data packets may be transmitted onto a network. A plurality of incoming data packets may be received over the network. The incoming data packets may be validated. For each of the incoming data packets that is valid, a round-trip time delay for the incoming data packet may be calculated, and statistics for the incoming data packets may be updated based on the round-trip time delay and the group identifier included in the incoming data packet. The method may be implemented on an electronic apparatus.
