  • Publication number: 20150347004
Abstract: A keyboard layout is presented that includes Indic language consonants arranged according to their phonetic principles. A user may type Indic language characters using a combination of a key selection and a gesture. For example, the user may select a consonant by selecting one of the keys on the keyboard. While the key is still selected, the user may modify the consonant by performing a gesture using a touch interface, where the gesture originates from the selected key and a path of the gesture corresponds with the desired modifier. Thus, the selection of the key and the gesture action may be performed by the user in one motion or stroke. The modified consonant may then be displayed.

  • Patent number: 7580145
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for the job management of document processing wherein job management is divided into a pipeline assembly phase and a job processing phase. The job manager is heavily involved in the pipeline assembly phase. The job processing phase involves only the job processors, which were identified during the pipeline assembly phase. The processors signal the job manager when they start or finish processing of a job. The job manager controls resource consumption by controlling the amount of data in the pipes by parameterizing connector elements. For example, the job manager will preferably input data relating to stapling operations into the pipeline after data relating to collating operations is feed into the pipeline. The job manager assembles partial data or operations into the pipeline in the event that all resources needed are not available.

  • Publication number: 20070279676
Abstract: A system and method for pipelined dataflow document processing is provided. Job data is first received by a document processing device, inclusive of electronic document and a requested document processing operation. The operation is then divided into a sequence of discrete stages, with each stage representing one process in the requested document processing operation. The first stage is initiated and a determination is made whether one or more additional stages are capable of being performed concurrently with the first stage. When contemporaneous processing is available, the stages are initiated and processing ensues. A determination is then made whether or not any additional stages remain for processing. When additional stages remain, a determination is made whether the data requires for the next stage is available and whether the capacity exists to perform the processing. When both conditions are met, the data is moved to the next stage and the operation continues from there.
