  • Patent number: 11271302
Abstract: In patent application Ser. No. 15,934563, a method was developed that achieves wave rotation or shaping in the near field and far field, for narrowband RF Signals. That is, using an acoustic or RF phased array, the effective wavefront can be rotated from the propagation normal, at a selected location region in space. In this innovation, the application has been extended to Wideband Signals, where the signal bandwidths can highly exceed the one-percent of carrier frequency narrowband threshold.

  • Publication number: 20220003857
Abstract: Methodology to combine Wave Mechanics with Retro-Reflection, to take in the Far Field emitted (incident) Wideband signal via a small array, process the signal and Retro-Reflectively re-transmits the Wideband signal back out, with the Wave Mechanics rotation mechanism injected into the array weights.

  • Publication number: 20210384628
Abstract: The new novelty employs the use of inductive grids or wire mesh structures as well as Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) structures, that generate antenna structures that become Electromagnetically transparent, as the antenna frequency is increased. As the frequency increases, these structures, which act as Band Pass Filters (BPF) start to become transparent and no longer absorb or reflect Electromagnetic Energy. Thus, the inner structure that is left, also acts as a BPF but with a higher frequency band. Therefore, the combined structures form an Antenna System with nearly a 5×5=25:1 frequency bandwidth or greater, with Gain above 0 dBi, omni directional pattern characteristics, and dominant radiation in the Antenna Broadside direction. Both or all structures share the same RF connector (1 port system), and in the case of a Dual Polarized Antenna System, they share two RF connectors (2 port system).

  • Patent number: 10879609
Abstract: A wave construction method is described that can be used to generate a new and different wave front, which is not parallel to the natural expanding wave front from the emitted signal generated from the source array. Restated, a wave construction method is described that can be used to generate a new and different wave front which is not perpendicular to the direction from the source array to the center of the wave front. This method can also be used to shape a wave in the far field or near field, by changing the locations of the computed points, and generating a linear or non-linear shaped wave (front). This disclosure allows for the controlling, rotating, or shaping radio frequency or acoustic waves in free space or in a fluid.

  • Publication number: 20050099359
Abstract: An antenna system installation comprising a tower/support structure, and an antenna structure mounted at the top of said tower/support structure, said antenna structure comprises a plurality of antenna elements, a plurality of power amplifiers, each power amplifier being operatively coupled with one of said antenna elements and mounted closely adjacent to the associated antenna element, such that no appreciable power loss occurs between the power amplifier and the associated antenna element, each said power amplifier comprising a relatively low power, relatively low cost per watt linear power amplifier chip, a first RF to fiber transceiver mounted at the top of said tower/support structure and operatively coupled with said antenna structure, and a second RF to fiber transceiver mounted adjacent a base portion of said tower/support structure and coupled with said first RF transceiver by an optical fiber cable.

  • Publication number: 20050030228
Abstract: Within an antenna array 120, the magnitude and phase of a relationship resulting from propagation delay between a sample taken at a first antenna 1 to a sample taken at a second antenna 2 at a different time is employed to derive a data value for a virtual antenna 3. Sub-patch antennas 203 perturbed in elevation are employed to expand the elevation range of acceptable gain. Multiple arrays each providing a separate radio frequency output are employed with digital beamform steering to a single point, together with low noise amplification at the feed point, to achieve sufficient gain with an acceptable total array size. A modular implementation with fiber transport is preferably used.
