    Abstract: A catheter device is useful in a procedure in which an injectable material or device is injected into a tissue of a patent. In one implementation, for example, the catheter device is useful in injecting a compound into a tissue of the heart, such as the myocardium. The distal tip portion of the catheter may include an extensible and retractable needle in combination with a camera, a balloon, a vacuum port, or any combination thereof.
