  • Patent number: 11689918
Abstract: A method is provided that includes receiving, at a first access point in a local area network, a request from a client device to access a wireless local area network. The method also includes creating authentication credentials for the client device based on an identification of the client device, and transmitting the authentication credentials for the client device to a second access point, wherein the first access point and the second access point share a secure block chain application. The method also includes allowing the client device to roam from the first access point to the second access point without requesting new authentication credentials. A system and a non-transitory, computer-readable medium storing instructions to perform the above method are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11128492
Abstract: An example network orchestrator includes processing circuitry and memory. Instructions of the memory, when executed by the processing circuitry, cause the network orchestrator to receive an indication that a branch gateway has joined a SD-WAN. The instructions further cause the network orchestrator to determine, based on parameters of the branch gateway, a geographic location of the branch gateway. The instructions further cause the network orchestrator to select a set of headend gateways located in a region including the geographic location of the branch gateway. The instructions further cause the network orchestrator to calculate a suitability score for each headend gateway based on the geographic location of the branch gateway in comparison to a geographic location of the each headend gateway. The instructions further cause the network orchestrator to assign the branch gateway to a headend gateway of the set of headend gateways with an optimal suitability score.

  • Publication number: 20100017516
Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for optimizing delivery of a content item from a content distribution network to a display device, where the content distribution network includes transcoding resources to convert the content item from a first format to a second format. A computing device receives a request to deliver the content item to the display device. The system selects, from the transcoding resources, an optimized transcoding resource based on an evaluation of metadata that describes the content item, a preferred technique for transcoding the content item, a state of the content distribution network, a predicted behavior for the user, and metadata that describes the display device. The system reserves the selected transcoding resource, and delivers the content item to the display device on a media stream that utilizes the selected transcoding resource.

  • Publication number: 20070140181
Abstract: A system (200) and method for integrated cellular access routing enables mobility across different cellular access networks. The system (200) includes a mobility router (300) and first and second media access controllers (310-1, 310-2) operatively connected to the mobility router (300). A first connectivity manager (325) is operatively connected to both the mobility router (300) and to the first and second media access controllers (310-1, 310-2). Thus a mobile station (105) can maintain a single Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity context when the mobile station (105) roams, from a connection to a first interface module controlled through the mobility router (300) by the first media access controller (310-1), to a connection to a second interface module controlled through the mobility router (300) by the second media access controller (310-2).
