  • Patent number: 11454669
Abstract: An integrated circuit die has a peripheral edge and a seal ring extending along the peripheral edge and surrounding a functional integrated circuit area. A test logic circuit located within the functional integrated circuit area generates a serial input data signal for application to a first end of a sensing conductive wire line extending around the seal ring between the seal ring and the peripheral edge of the integrated circuit die. Propagation of the serial input data signal along the sensing conductive wire line produces a serial output data signal at a second end of the sensing conductive wire line. The test logic circuit compares data patterns of the serial input data signal and serial output data signal to detect damage at the peripheral edge of the integrated circuit die.

  • Patent number: 11455212
Abstract: Described in detail herein are systems and methods for single instancing blocks of data in a data storage system. For example, the data storage system may include multiple computing devices (e.g., client computing devices) that store primary data. The data storage system may also include a secondary storage computing device, a single instance database, and one or more storage devices that store copies of the primary data (e.g., secondary copies, tertiary copies, etc.). The secondary storage computing device receives blocks of data from the computing devices and accesses the single instance database to determine whether the blocks of data are unique (meaning that no instances of the blocks of data are stored on the storage devices). If a block of data is unique, the single instance database stores it on a storage device. If not, the secondary storage computing device can avoid storing the block of data on the storage devices.

  • Patent number: 11456267
Abstract: A method of forming a semiconductor device with a metal pillar overlapping a first top metal interconnect and a second top metal interconnect is disclosed. The metal pillar overlapping the first top metal interconnect and second top metal interconnect is connected to the first top metal interconnect by top metal vias while the second top metal interconnect does not contain top metal vias and remains free of a direct electrical connection to the metal pillar. The metal pillars are attached directly to top metal vias without a bond pad of metal. The elimination of the bond pad layer reduces the mask count, processing, and cost of the device. In addition, the elimination of the bond pad results in reduced die area requirements for the metal pillar.

  • Publication number: 20220300335
Abstract: This disclosure relates to scope-based lock management for shared resources of a distributed computing system. A scope-based lock manager may grant a request for a lock of a shared resource of the distributed computing system, where the lock request includes a scope of the lock and a target having the scope. The target may define entities able to access the shared resource when locked. The scope and target of the lock are stored at a lock database including scopes and targets associated with additional locks of additional shared resources of the distributed computing system. The scope based lock manager may determine when a computing node of the distributed computing system has failed and remove the lock from the lock database responsive to a determination that the target of the lock is hosted on the computing node.

  • Publication number: 20220299995
Abstract: Autonomous vehicle inventory inspection and management is provided for a GPS-denied indoor warehouse with the objective of achieving fast, yet accurate warehouse inventory assessment. The warehouse stores inventory organized in a distributed and substantially parallel fashion. Passive identification markers are located on the racks for aiding navigation of the autonomous vehicle. Travel paths for the autonomous vehicle are predefined. They are relatively straight paths in between the racks, substantially constant and lateral first distance relative to at least one of two racks along its row, a substantially constant first height relative to a warehouse floor and a substantially constant speed for the autonomous vehicle. These requirements are important to attain the objective of faster, yet accurate inventory inspection and management. During travel, acquisition systems capture information of the inventory, which is synchronized with a digital management system.

  • Publication number: 20220299492
Abstract: Systems and methods monitor a space for environmental pollutants. A sensing device senses and reports air quality anomalies to a cloud detection service. The cloud detection service uses artificial intelligence to analyze raw sensor data from the sensing device, determines whether the raw sensor data indicates an air quality event, and sends an air quality report indicative of the air quality event to a client device associated with the sensing device and/or the monitored space. A sensing device may be deployed in an air extraction vent to detect and report indications of vaping in prohibited spaces. A sensing device may be deployed in a vehicle to detect and report smoking in vehicles where smoking is prohibited. • Publication number: 20220300712
Abstract: Artificial-intelligence (AI)-based question-answer (QA) trace analysis of a text corpus that identifies answers to a natural language question and assesses the manner in which those answers evolve over time based on associated context is described herein. A set of QA trace records can be generated that includes a collection of answers derived from a text corpus in response to a posed natural language question along with contextual information relating to the answers. The set of QA trace records can be ordered based on corresponding date attributes gleaned from the contextual information to produce a time-series of QA trace records that can be processed by various types of downstream processing. Such downstream processing can include data visualization, pattern recognition, or the like for assessing how an answer to a natural language question evolves over time, identifying patterns/trends that develop over time with respect to the set of answers, and so forth.
