    Abstract: The invention concerns a liquid crystal display cell including two close substrates (2), separated by a sealing frame which delimits a sealed enclosure in which the liquid crystal molecules (4) are confined, and spacers (8) intended to maintain a constant spacing between said substrates (2), characterised in that the sealing frame and/or the spacers (8) are formed of an anisotropic polymer which is used to align and orient the liquid crystal molecules.
