  • Patent number: 8250679
Abstract: A plunger apparatus, comprising a force cup assembly having a top edge, a neck, and a first bottom edge. An elongated connector has a tube comprising a first top end and a first bottom end. A housing assembly has a second top end and a second bottom edge. An adaptor has a third top end and a third bottom edge. A valve assembly comprises a valve and a fitting. The force cup assembly comprises at least one ridge and the second bottom edge rests upon the at least one ridge. In operation, a force is placed upon the valve assembly, thus biasing the second bottom edge against the at least one ridge to cause the first bottom edge to form a seal upon a drain. Flushing means comprise liquid matter entering via the fitting and flowing through the elongated connector and the force cup assembly when the valve is actuated.

  • Publication number: 20110147309
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for performing desalination and eliminating boron from water, which comprises carrying out a first reverse-osmosis step where the saline water is supplied into a reverse-osmosis membrane container which comprises a plurality of membranes interconnected in series, arranging between two of said membranes a blind interconnector which separates the flows of permeate in two membrane sections, i.e. the flow situated upstream of the blind interconnector and the flow situated downstream of the blind interconnector, defining two respective stages, and carrying out at least one second reverse-osmosis step which comprises low-pressure and high-flow membranes or medium-pressure and medium-flow membranes and which is supplied with some or all of the water obtained from the permeate of the membranes of the first step which are situated upstream of the blind interconnector, i.e. the first stage of the first step.

  • Patent number: 7618538
Abstract: The present invention relates to a procedure for elimination of boron from sea-water by reverse osmosis membranes characterized in that it comprises: adding to sea-water a composition consisting of at least one metal together with at least one antiscaling-dispersant agent, and a second phase in which an alkalinizing agent is added until a pH of between 8-9.5 is achieved, which can furthermore consist of a third phase in which the fluoride content of the sea-water is increased following the second phase, or a third phase in which a high molecular weight alcohol is added to the water.
