Patent number: 11928001Abstract: Systems and methods for musical tempo detection are provided. The method includes detecting peaks and their locations in a waveform of a digital audio track, and dividing the track into first measures with a first-measure length based on a first estimated tempo. The method includes determining distances between a beginning of the first measures and each peak location, and determining a first number of peaks having the same distance from the beginning of the first measures. The method includes dividing the track into second measures with a second-measure length based on a second estimated tempo; determining distances between a beginning of the second measures and each peak location; and determining a second number of peaks having the same distance from the beginning of each of the second measures. The method includes estimating an accurate tempo by comparing the first number of peaks and the second number of peaks.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2018Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: inMusic Brands, Inc.Inventors: John O'Donnell, Christopher Blane Roman, James Samuel Heintz, Manuel Kaletta, Marcus Tillmans

Patent number: 11567552Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a visual color display of audio-file data are provided. The system includes a processor that performs a method including receiving audio-file data; generating filtered-audio data by processing the audio-file data by frequency-band filters. The frequency band filters have different frequency bands. The method includes generating one or more waveforms corresponding to the filtered-audio data and displaying the waveforms superimposed in unique color relative to one another. The method includes downsampling the waveforms. The method includes processing the waveforms through an envelope detector. The method includes processing the waveforms through an expander and applying a gain factor. The waveforms have transparency levels at sections that are proportional or inversely proportional to amplitudes at the sections.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2020Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: inMusic Brands, Inc.Inventors: John O'Donnell, Christopher Blane Roman, James Samuel Heintz, Lindsey Ryan Cole, Manuel Kaletta, Vincent Ming Chen, Marcus Tillmans

Patent number: 11423870Abstract: A guitar multi-effects pedalboard is provided. The pedalboard has footswitches and a memory storing guitar-effect presets for processing an inputted guitar signal when the processing is triggered by pressing a footswitch. The pedalboard has one or more processors coupled to the memory and configured to process a first portion of an inputted guitar signal on a first audio-engine thread with a first guitar-effect preset when processing the first portion is triggered by pressing a footswitch. The one or more processors also process a second portion of the inputted guitar signal on a second audio-engine thread with a second guitar-effect preset while simultaneously processing the first portion of the inputted guitar signal on the first audio-engine thread with the first guitar-effect preset when processing the second portion is triggered by pressing a footswitch. The one or more processors simultaneously output the processed first portion and the processed second portion.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2018Date of Patent: August 23, 2022Assignee: INMUSIC BRANDS, INC.Inventors: Manuel Kaletta, Mario Reinsch, John E.
