  • Patent number: 6164330
Abstract: A valve having a flow blocking rotary system comprising: a main body divided in two body sections, a rotary dosing body to regulate or interrupt the flow of fluid, located between the two body sections and locking means to prevent that an unauthorized person could change the flow rate set for the valve, and by which the rotary dosing body may be set at a desired position to regulate the flow of fluid.

  • Patent number: 5626044
Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing steel bars wherein at least four individual bars are rolled at the same time from a single billet, thus increasing the production capacity of a given rolling mill operating at a predetermined velocity and designed to produce only one or two bars at the same time and without requiring tension relieving stations between the slitting box and the finishing rolling stands as in the prior art. The problems of uniform quality of final bars are solved by preforming the outermost elements of a multi-stranded stock with different shape and/or cross section as compared to the inner elements of said multi-stranded stock. An apparatus for separation of the individual elements of the multi-stranded bar is provided wherein the elements are separated at several stages starting with the two outermost elements in the first stage and continuing in the same order until the center elements are separated in the last stage.

  • Patent number: 5594574
Abstract: Newton rings on a liquid crystal display (LCD) are avoided by connecting the frame of the LCD to the chassis without deflecting the frame outward toward the chassis. A first connecting mechanism coupled to the frame and to the chassis at least partially secures the frame to the chassis by prohibiting movement of the frame relative to the chassis in a first direction, but allows at least partial movement of the frame relative to the chassis in a second direction non-parallel to the first direction. A second connecting mechanism coupled to the frame and to the chassis at least partially secures the frame to the chassis by prohibiting movement of the frame relative to the chassis in the second direction, but allows at least partial movement of the frame relative to the chassis in the first direction. In combination, the coupling mechanisms prohibit movement of the frame relative to the chassis in both the first and second directions.

  • Patent number: 4936659
Abstract: A liquid crystal display having enhanced viewing brightness and brightness uniformity which utilizes a plurality of reflective dots disposed on the lamp side of a diffuser which is positioned between a back lamp and the viewing surface so that light emitted from the back lamp is reflected off of the reflective dots back to a reflector assembly positioned behind the back lamp and is then reflected back toward the light diffuser in a direction toward the viewing surface.
