  • Patent number: 7006607
Abstract: A system for presenting a recorded message on behalf of an agent receiving a call at an agent station in a call center, the agent station having a telephony interface for receiving calls and a personal computer with a video display unit (PC/VDU), has a telephony switching apparatus enhanced by a computer-telephony integration (CTI) processor, an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system executing a voice treatment option (VTO) software, coupled to the telephony switching apparatus and the CTI processor; and a data repository having recorded messages stored on behalf of the agent and accessible to the CTI processor. The CTI processor routes incoming calls to the telephony interface for the agent, uses data associated with the calls for selecting appropriate recorded messages, and causes, by controlling the IVR, a retrieved recorded message to be played to a caller upon the agent picking up the routed call.

  • Publication number: 20030191043
Abstract: Methods and formulations for enhancing the dissolution of a solid material in an aqueous solution incorporate an effervescent system into the material. Effervescent systems include (i) the combination of one or more enzymes and one or more substrates for said enzymes and (ii) a metal ion catalyst and a substrate for that metal ion catalyst. The combination of either (i) the enzyme and the substrate or (i) metal ion catalyst and substrate is capable of producing a gas when the material is in an aqueous solution. The effervescent system is particularly suited for incorporation into laundry detergents, dishwashing detergents, antacids, vitamins, contact lens cleaners, denture cleaners and other household products. It is believed that the gas produced by the interaction of the enzyme or metal ion catalyst and the appropriate substrate enhances and facilitates dissolution of the material by increasing the surface area of the material that is in contact with the aqueous medium.

  • Patent number: 6458754
Abstract: Modified starch encapsulated High Impact Accord (HIA) perfume particles are disclosed. The particles consist of a modified starch and perfume oil encapsulated by the starch and comprised of at least two HIA perfume ingredients which have a boiling point at 760 mm Hg, of 275° C. of lower, a calculated ClogP of 2.0 or higher, and an odor detection threshold less than or equal to 50 parts per billion (ppb). The encapsulated perfume particles are particularly useful in laundry compositions.

  • Patent number: 6165967
Abstract: Laundry granular detergent compositions useful for hand wash and machine-assisted hand wash laundry operations. The composition contains 5% to 40% of a surfactant, the surfactant containing: 1) 60% to 95% primary anionic surfactant selected from alkylbenzene sulfonate, alkyl sulfate, and mixtures thereof; and 2) 2.5% to 18% alkyl ethoxy ether sulfate (AES) surfactant having an average of from about 1 to about 9 moles ethoxy per mole surfactant, the ratio of alkylbenzene sulfate and alkyl sulfate surfactant to alkyl ethoxy ether sulfate surfactant being within the range of from about 30:1 to about 4:1. The composition also preferably contains 2.0% to 5.5% hydroxyalkyl quaternary ammonium cationic surfactant, the ratio of alkylbenzene sulfonate and alkyl sulfate surfactant to such cationic surfactant being from 40:1 to 16:1.

  • Patent number: 5365825
Abstract: A sheet turning device for printed sheets supported on a stand which includes a transparent jacket for each sheet, a sheet turning rod secured to each jacket of the stack, the several rods extending side by side, a lever arm fixed to each rod, whereby pulling on a selected lever arm causes rotation of the associated rod and turning of the sheet to the jacket of which the rod is fixed. A set of selector members are disposed side by side and are longitudinally movable in a guide, each selector member is attached to one lever arm. A common pulling member is movable back and forth in a predetermined path under the action of an electromagnet controlled by a foot-actuated switch. The first pulling action causes the first sheet to be turned since only the selector member associated with the first sheet is pulled.

  • Patent number: 4683733
Abstract: A door locking mechanism enclosed within a casing for locking a door to its door frame. The door lock includes at least one bolt displaceable inside the casing through a bore in a side wall thereof, to engage a registering bore in the door frame. A base leg is fixed to the rear of the bolt, and includes a Y-shaped notch. A conventional keylock cylinder is fixed within the casing, and a key operated barrel is journalled within the cylinder and offset from the center of the latter and has a radially-outwardly-projecting lug. An annular member is rotatably mounted around the keylock cylinder between two opposite casing walls, and includes an inner projection and an outer operating arm which engages the Y-shaped notch of the base leg.

  • Patent number: 4435921
Abstract: There is described a safety door the lock of which, upon turning of the key, outwardly displaces the bolt which, upon engagement in the door frame, pushes out for other bolts that engage in the door. Besides, the latter has a hinge co-extensive with its height and a side provided with five dead bolts which engage in the other side of the hinge upon closing of the door. A metal plate covers each of the opposite faces of the door.
