    Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method capable of automatically classifying and differentiating biliary lesions in images obtained from a digital cholangioscopy system, characterizing them according to their malignant potential, through the classification of pixels as a malignant lesion, or benign lesion, followed by a characterization stage and indexing of such lesions according to a set of morphologic characteristics with clinical relevance, namely the presence/absence of tumor vessels, the presence/absence of papillary projections, the presence/absence of intraductal nodules and the presence/absence of tumor masses.

    Abstract: This invention provides a method for synthesizing semi-crystalline polylactides (PLA) even from a lactide mixture including meso-LA and rac-LA. According to the invention, when a mixture of racemic lactide and meso-lactide ispolymerized using a catalyst capable of iso-selectively polymerizing L-lactide and D-lactide, an amorphous poly (meso-lactide) block is formed from meso-lactide and a semi-crystalline poly (racemic lactide) block is formed from racemic lactide by separately polymerizing racemic lactide and meso-lactide by taking advantage of a difference in physicochemical properties between racemic lactide and meso-lactide, whereby polylactide which is semi-crystalline as a whole is produced.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a laryngoscope composed by a standard blade (18) equipped with an optical fiber and is articulated in the pin (17) located in the laryngoscope head (41); the main body (42), were are all the electronic components and sensors are installed being closed by the handle cover (43). The laryngoscope has wireless communication capability and can communicate with a remote computer or other portable devices where a designed application is used to monitoring, visualization and recording all acquired data. The device has an inertial unit (24) to determine its spatial orientation according to the three main axis. The sound or/and visual alarms (13, 1) correspondent to an eventual excessive force compared to a certain predefined level are available in the laryngoscope handle head (41) or in the remote0 computer or mobile device. The laryngoscope includes also a LED to illuminate oral cavity, with variable intensity according to the user needs.
