  • Patent number: 11172782
Abstract: Method for the instantaneous self-calibration of the dose of coffee, for a grinder-doser apparatus with electronic control provided with a weighing means and with a granulometry adjusting means with a warning microswitch. The method provides: a first setting of the nominal dose with temporary grinding times; a second setting of the tolerance and reliability ranges of the dispensed doses, for the purpose of recalculation; the automatic control of the weight of each actually dispensed dose; the automatic recalculation of the grinding times according to an ordinary calculation logic, when one detects three consecutive out-of-tolerance doses all within the positive or negative reliability range, or according to a forced calculation logic when the microswitch detects a granulometry variation; automatic calibration of the apparatus according to the recalculated times.

  • Patent number: 11166591
Abstract: Automatic process for calibrating the single and double dose of ground and dispensed coffee by means of a specific grinder-doser integrating a weighing device with a load cell. The process is automatically and steadily carried out during the ordinary activity, with no interruptions, adapting the grinding time according to the actually detected grammages, in order to get closer as much as possible to the desired grammage in any use condition. The process, after a preliminary phase for temporary configuring the desired grammages and the grinding time, conceives self-calibration cycles continuously repeated, each of them comprising three sequential phases: a first phase for automatically checking the dispensing with progressive weight detections, a second phase for automatically processing the detected data for determining the correct grinding time, a following third phase for the automatic setting.

  • Patent number: 11058258
Abstract: Electronic grinder-doser apparatus of the type with weight control or “grind-by-weight”, intended to grind and precisely dose coffee in beans dispensing the ground product in a filter-holding bowl for espresso coffee. Implemented is a dose compensated weighing system, of the multi-cycle and feedback type at every cycle, carried out by a device with a load cell and specific execution programs. The cell is interposed between the machine body and a base shaped in such a way as to integrate the centering fork of the bowl, making the hooking independent. The specific programs execute each grinding and dispensing cycle with a double weighing and automatic calibration, according to an Algorithm A comprising 4 steps (AF1-AF4) and a Filtering Algorithm B. The apparatus is suitable for professional daily use and helps the operator, by automatically calibrating during use.

  • Patent number: 10413128
Abstract: Automatic calibration process for electronic grinder-doser apparatuses of coffee in beans provided with an electronic weighing device directly connected to the logic control unit of the apparatus, wherein the grinding times necessary for obtaining the requested dose weight in grams of ground coffee are pre-set, the process being aimed at periodically checking the quantity of coffee actually ground, re-calculating and re-setting the grinding times in the logic unit. The process particularly comprises a first phase (Phase A) of start, a second phase (Phase B) of sampling by multiple short and long detections, a third phase (Phase C) of processing by compensation calculation and a fourth phase (Phase D) of self-adjustment, the second, third and fourth phases (Phases B-D) being totally automatic, that is to say, being sequentially carried out by the electronic grinder-doser apparatus as automatic procedures by the logic control unit.
