  • Patent number: 10613214
Abstract: An embodiment of a method for processing synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image data includes acquiring a multi-polarization SAR image of a terrestrial region, pre-processing the SAR image to remove or reduce radiometric and geometric errors, and separating the SAR image into a plurality of channels, each channel representing an image associated with a different polarization mode. The method also includes calculating a characteristic of the region for each polarization channel, acquiring ground data and estimating the characteristic of the region based on the ground data, estimating a correlation of the calculated characteristic for each polarization channel with the estimated characteristic based on the ground data, selecting one or more polarization channels having a correlation exceeding a selected value, and generating a SAR image including only the selected polarization channels based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20080228479
Abstract: What is disclosed is a data gathering, storage and management system, which includes a database in which data files are stored. The database includes a series of selected keywords each associated with one or more content files, the content files comprising advertisements, information, on-screen control buttons for performing a series of functions, and links for access to websites and other sources of information. The system accepts audio data files and identifies keywords that may be heard in the audio file. In one embodiment, the audio data file is transcribed and keywords are searched for in the transcribed text. The identified keywords from the audio data file are compared with the selected keywords, and at least one content file is selected for display for each retrieved keyword in the list which matches a selected keyword.

  • Publication number: 20070203901
Abstract: A data storage and management system includes a data base in which documents are stored. The data base also includes a series of selected keywords each associated with one or more document inserts, the document inserts comprising advertisements, information, on-screen control buttons for performing a series of functions, and links for access to websites and other sources of information. Each document in the data base is scanned and a list of keywords is retrieved from the document. The retrieved keywords are compared with the selected keywords and at least one document insert is selected for each retrieved keyword in the list which matches a selected keyword. The document inserts are inserted at appropriate positions in the document each time it is retrieved and viewed by an authorized user. The system may be associated with an online medical record transcription service with inserts added to documents which are transcribed or otherwise submitted for storage in the data base.
