  • Publication number: 20210294676
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving a message from a message broker that receives messages from a plurality of message producers and reading a value in the message. The read value is stored in a memory location of a memory structure stored in a memory. The memory location is identified by a pointer, wherein the pointer requires less memory space than the value. An attribute value for a programming object is stored in the memory, wherein the attribute value is set equal to the pointer.

  • Patent number: 10370131
Abstract: The apparatus and method for packaging coiled materials uses vacuum to draw the free end of a packaging sleeve through the open coil core, which may have a single line. A trolley lifts the coil to align its open core with a hollow mandrel, and passes the coil over the mandrel. The trolley is lowered to expose the coil circumference for packaging. Suction is applied through the mandrel to draw the free end of the sleeve through the coil core. Another apparatus includes two parallel input lines and a mandrel workstation translating therebetween and pivoting to transfer coils to an orthogonal output line. Another apparatus includes a stationary suction source having a flexible suction hose and suction canister extending therefrom. The canister is applied to the coil core to draw the free end of the sleeve therethrough.

  • Patent number: 9388546
Abstract: The oil recovery system is used to remove oil from water. The system includes rollers rotatably supported on a frame, one of the rollers having drive sprockets. A belt extends between the first and second rollers and a roller press squeezes the belt to thereby remove oil from the belt. The belt has a first layer of oleophilic material, a second layer of oleophilic material and a third central reinforcing scrim layer between the first and second layer. Chains extend along the side edges of the belt, and are driven by the sprockets. The chains are connected to the side edges by a plurality of flanges that are integral the chains, reinforcing cords extending along the side edges, reinforcing strips wrapped around the reinforcing cords and extending along the side edges, and a plurality of pins that extend through the flanges, the strip and the three layers.

  • Patent number: 6242371
Abstract: A tear/puncture resistant semi-laminate material having a first layer of a flexible sheet of thermoplastic material and a second layer of a water impermeable thermoplastic material impregnated with a volatile corrosion inhibitor. The layers are not bonded with a uniform layer of adhesive, but are semi-laminated by bonding at points or in strips at the edges of the respective layers or at discrete, discontinuous intervals across the width of the material. In the preferred embodiments, the first layer is a tear resistant layer, which may be a layer of woven fibers, a nonwoven layer of spunbonded fibers, or a tear resistant film. In an alternative embodiment, polypropylene is substituted for polyethylene in the first and second layers.

  • Patent number: 5983598
Abstract: The method for wrapping a steel coil applies to wrapping a coiled material, particularly sheets of steel, aluminum and other metals which have been wound into a coil, in paper or a polymeric packaging material which contains a volatile corrosion inhibitor for storage or transport. The wrapper includes a cover piece, folded and sealed along one side, leaving two open sides, and a base piece. The base piece is placed on a pallet and the coil is placed on the base with the coil's axis of rotation perpendicular to the pallet. The base is secured to the coil and the coil is secured to the pallet with straps. The cover is placed over the coil with an open side traversing the width of the coil. A first edge of the open side is secured to the coil by adhesive tape, and the second edge is wrapped around the coil to overlap the first edge and also secured by tape. The two peaked corners of the cover are folded down over the top of the cover and secured by adhesive tape.

  • Patent number: 5928770
Abstract: A tear/puncture resistant material made of polyethylene and polypropylene. The material is ideally suited for wrapping steel or many other uses. The material of the present invention includes four layers attached by lamination. The outer layer is woven polyethylene, which imparts tear resistance to the material. This outer layer is laminated to a layer of extruded polyethylene. This layer, which provides breaking and puncture resistance to the material, is laminated to a layer of polypropylene, which provides additional elasticity. The layer of polypropylene is laminated to an inner layer of polyethylene impregnated with a volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) such as sodium nitrite. This inner layer, which increases the puncture resistance of the material, provides corrosion protection to the wrapped object, e.g. a steel roll.

  • Patent number: 5867969
Abstract: A method for wrapping coiled material which includes the selection of a tear-resistant bag having openings at either end and drawstrings near each opening. A roll of steel is lifted, e.g., by a forklift, and the bag is slipped over the roll of steel. The excess material of the bag is then folded over so that the bag tightly fits the steel roll. The strings are then drawn tightly, pulling the bag radially over the steel roll such that the ends of the bag overlaps the aperture of the core of the roll. The overlapping portions of the bag are folded inside of the core of the coiled material and inner diameter protectors are placed in the core to secure the bag.

  • Patent number: 5657613
Abstract: A method for wrapping a roll of steel or other coiled material which includes the selection of a tear-resistant sheet of proportions to accommodate a steel roll. The sheet is folded along lines parallel to its width, and holes are punched through the folded sheet at the upper and lower ends of the sheet, forming a plurality of upper holes and a plurality of lower holes. The sheet is unfolded and ropes or strings are threaded through each set of holes. A roll of steel is placed on the sheet and the sheet is wrapped circumferentially around the roll and secured with adhesive tape. The strings are then drawn tightly, pulling the sheet radially over the roll of steel such that the sheet overlaps the aperture of the core of the roll. The overlapping portions of the sheet are bent inside of the core, and inner diameter protectors are placed in the core to secure the sheet. A system for wrapping a roll of steel is also disclosed.
