  • Patent number: 11958442
Abstract: A mounting bracket system for a vehicle roof, and a method for its attachment to a vehicle having a side rail including a drip well, is contemplated in which no drilling of holes or other permanent modifications to the vehicle roof is required, and in which each individual mounting bracket may be independently fixed in place without requiring any structural support from interconnections with any other mounting bracket via crossbars or other interconnections. In this regard, a number of problems associated with prior mounting bracket systems may be overcome.

  • Publication number: 20080092445
Abstract: A service window assembly includes a window frame and a door slidably mounted within the frame. The door is moveable between an open position and a closed position and is biased toward the closed position. A magnet is connected to one of the frame and the door and is operable in an active state and an inactive state, and a magnetic contact is connected to the other of the frame and the door. The magnetic contact is located proximate the magnet when the door is in the open position, and when the magnet is in the active state, the magnet and the magnetic contact form a magnetic connection, securing the door in the open position. A sensor monitors the presence of a user. The sensor is in communication with the magnet, so that the magnet is in the active state when the sensor detects that the user is present, and the magnet is in the inactive state when the sensor detects that the user is not present.

  • Patent number: 6537772
Abstract: The present invention is related to microbiology and forms part of a system for rapid microbiological diagnosis. The invention allows detection of turbidimetric changes due to microbial growth, using equipment comprised of two main devices: a static turbidimetric minireader and a microflow sensor which is fed by a peristaltic pump; this equipment is coupled to a microcomputer with a program package for acquisition, processing and formation of databases used in generating necessary reports. The diagnostic kit has a glass vial with culture medium and a polymer with derepressive activity and two additional substrates for E.coli identification, as well as a set of antibiotic discs arranged in a strip for antibiogram determination from previously isolated colonies or samples obtained directly from their sources, allowing detection of urinary tract infections from direct samples of urine, and additionally simultaneous identification of E.coli.
