  • Patent number: 10228316
Abstract: A condensation particle counter comprising a saturation unit (1) and a downstream condensation unit (2), through which at least one channel (5) for an aerosol flow passes between an inlet (3) and an outlet (4) that leads to a counting unit (16). The saturation unit (1) and the condensation unit (2) comprise a shell sleeve (12) having an inner shell wall (21) that is penetrated by a core (6), the core wall (20) and the inner shell wall (21) delimiting a channel (5) formed therebetween.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 2015
Date of Patent: March 12, 2019
    Assignee: AVL LIST GMBH
    Inventors: Alexander Bergmann, Manuel Unger
  • Patent number: 9645048
Abstract: A method for analyzing the exhaust gas of internal combustion engines provides for the cooling of the exhaust gas before analysis, the determination of the concentration of at least two different exhaust gas components in at least two separate analysis stages or the determination of the concentration of a single exhaust gas component with at least two different cooling stages. In order to achieve a higher measuring accuracy, at least one first cooling is carried out before a first analysis stage and at least one second cooling is carried out at a lower temperature than that of the first cooling before at least one further analysis stage.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 6, 2012
Date of Patent: May 9, 2017
    Assignee: AVL List GmbH
Inventors: Thomas Schimpl, Manuel Unger, Volker Pointner
