Abstract: A multi-jacket electrical cable that includes an inner insulation jacket wrapped around or extruded onto one or more electrical conductors and an outer insulation jacket that is wrapped around or extruded onto the inner jacket and is removable therefrom. Each jacket includes a different characteristic such as color, texture of pattern. A user of the electrical cable of the present invention can designate the wire to be used for a particular purpose, such as a ground wire, or a high voltage wire, by removing a jacket until an inner jacket is exposed, where the exposed jacket has a characteristic that matches the user's desired intention for the wire.
