A breathable material underlies the vent. Abstract: A ventilating garment having a shell layer and a mid-liner layer is provided. A vent opening is located on both the shell and the mid-liner. The air flows from the first vent opening to the second vent opening, thereby reaching the body of the wearer. The vent opening generally extends from the torso portion and onto the sleeve portion of the garment. The garment is also provided with a flap member that can be deformed from a closed position to a open position to allow air access to the vent opening. To maintain the flap in an open position, a metallic strip is provided inside the flap.
