Patent number: 12234168Abstract: A method and rainwater processing system are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method includes collecting rainwater, filtering the collected rainwater, and ozonating the filtered collected rainwater to produce potable water. The method includes diverting a portion of the collected rainwater to a test chamber and testing by sensors the diverted portion of the collected rainwater to produce a valve control signal. Responsive to the valve control signal, a valve is opened to channel collected rainwater to a collection tank and filtered. The method includes ozonating the filtered collected rainwater to produce potable water. A functional water may be prepared by adding a substance to the potable water within a processing tank. The functional water may be carbonate and ozonated.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2023Date of Patent: February 25, 2025Assignee: Heart Water Inc.Inventor: Jon Marc Howell

Publication number: 20250044085Abstract: A system for surveying includes, a base station, for being positioned with respect to an environment, and an augmented-reality device. The augmented-reality device, such as a head-mounted display, has one or more cameras. An image of the base station is acquired by at least of the one or more cameras. An offset from the augmented-reality device to the base station is calculated based on the image. A position of the augmented-reality device with respect to the environment is calculated based on the offset and the base station positioned with respect to the environment. A virtual object in relation to the environment can then be presented to a user, using the augmented-reality device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2024Publication date: February 6, 2025Applicant: Trimble Inc.Inventors: Kent Kahle, David Hyland, Benedict JG Atkins, Eliot Jones, Marc Howell, Steven Ostrowski

Patent number: 12146741Abstract: An augmented-reality device is used with a surveying system to guide a base station, such as a total station, during relock after loss of line of sight with a surveying instrument, such as a surveying pole with a reflective prism. A position of the surveying instrument in relation to the augmented-reality device is calculated while an object in the environment blocks line of sight from the base station to the surveying instrument. A position of the surveying instrument in relation to the environment is calculated based on the position of the surveying instrument in relation to the augmented-reality device. The position of the surveying instrument in relation to the environment is used by the base station to point toward to the surveying instrument.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2023Date of Patent: November 19, 2024Assignee: Trimble Inc.Inventors: Kent Kahle, David Hyland, Benedict JG Atkins, Eliot Jones, Marc Howell, Steven Ostrowski

Patent number: 11821730Abstract: An augmented-reality system is combined with a surveying system to make measurement and/or layout at a construction site more efficient. A reflector can be mounted to a wearable device having an augmented-reality system. A total station can be used to track a reflector, and truth can be transferred to the wearable device while an obstruction is between the total station and the reflector. Further, a target can be used to orient a local map of a wearable device to an environment based on a distance between the target and the wearable device.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 2022Date of Patent: November 21, 2023Assignee: Trimble Inc.Inventors: Kent Kahle, David Hyland, Benedict JG Atkins, Eliot Jones, Marc Howell, Steven Ostrowski

Publication number: 20160009568Abstract: Systems and methods for collecting rainwater may include detecting a flow of rainwater via a flow meter and automatically switching a valve to direct the flow of rainwater through a first tank that may include a measurement system. The measurement system may measure parameters associated with the flow of rainwater. The parameters may include pH level and rainwater clarity, among others. A controller may determine that each of the parameters may have met a respective criterion and automatically switch at least one second valve to re-direct the flow of rainwater to a second tank for holding collected rainwater. Once the rainwater has been collected, it may be considered raw water and the raw water may be circulated periodically through a treatment system prior to filtration and disinfection.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2014Publication date: January 14, 2016Inventor: Jon Marc Howell
