  • Publication number: 20220212601
Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes a forward-viewing camera disposed at a windshield of a vehicle and an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed at the vehicle remote from the forward-viewing camera. The forward-viewing camera is connected to the ECU via an image data transmission line, the image data transmission line includes a power-over-coaxial cable. The image data transmission line (i) transmits image data captured by the forward-viewing camera from the forward-viewing camera to the ECU for processing at the ECU and (ii) delivers electrical power from the ECU to said forward-viewing camera for powering the forward-viewing camera. Captured image data transmitted to the ECU from at least the forward-viewing camera is processed at the ECU for at least one driver assistance system of the vehicle. Filtering circuitry filters electrical noise arising at least from electrical power delivered via the image data transmission line from the ECU to the forward-viewing camera.

  • Patent number: 11285878
Abstract: A vision system of a vehicle includes a camera configured to be disposed at a vehicle so as to have a field of view interior or exterior of the vehicle. An image processor is operable to process image data captured by the camera. The camera is connected to a system of the vehicle via an image data transmission line. The image data transmission line transmits an image signal from the camera and provides a power signal to the camera. The image data transmission line includes a filter that filters electrical noise in at least one signal, such as the power signal, carried by the image data transmission line.

  • Patent number: 10841571
Abstract: A test system for testing a device for use in a vehicle includes a coupling element that is one of (i) a capacitive coupling element, (ii) an inductive coupling element and (iii) a magnetic coupling element. The coupling element is electrically coupled to components of a PCB circuit of a vehicle device to at least one of (a) acquire analog or digital data or information or conditions from the PCB circuit and (b) induce information or conditions into the PCB circuit. The coupling element electrically couples to components of the PCB circuit without physical contact with the PCB circuit. The vehicle device may comprise a vehicle camera.

  • Patent number: 10506141
Abstract: A camera for a vehicular vision system includes a camera housing, a PCB having circuitry disposed thereat, and a lens assembly. The circuitry includes an imager disposed at one side of the PCB, and the circuitry includes connecting terminals that protrude from the circuit board. The PCB is disposed in the camera housing and retained thereat via a fastener. The camera housing is open at a rear portion, and a sealing material is dispensed in the camera housing to seal the PCB and the connecting terminals in the camera housing. An electrical connector receives the connecting terminals and is disposed at an outer portion of the sealing material at the rear of the camera housing. The sealing material includes a thermally conductive resin and is dispensed in the camera housing in an uncured state. The sealing material, when cured, attaches the electrical connector at the rear portion of the camera.

  • Patent number: 10154185
Abstract: A camera for a vehicle vision system includes a front housing portion, a circuit board, and a rear housing portion having a connector portion for connection of a vehicle coaxial cable. The circuit board includes a first solder pad for soldering a core pin connecting element, and a second solder pad that partially circumscribes the first solder pad for soldering a shielding connecting element. The second solder pad only partially circumscribes the first solder pad so as to have a gap between opposing ends of the second solder pad. The gap is configured to allow for escape of gases that evaporate out of the solder during the soldering process. The core pin connecting element electrically connects between a core pin of the connected coaxial cable and circuitry of the circuit board and the shielding connecting element electrically connects between shielding of the coaxial cable and circuitry of the circuit board.
