Abstract: Disclosed herein is a frame for an in-line roller skate and as well as a roller skate having such a frame. This roller skate has a shoe and a wheel supporting frame extending therefrom said shoe for supporting aligned wheels. The frame includes a main frame body mounted to the shoe and at least one auxiliary frame body for supporting a wheel and being pivotally mounted to the main frame body. A resilient and deformable member is interposed between the auxiliary frame body and the shoe. The auxiliary frame body is so pivotable as to provide for moving the wheel towards and away the shoe for a distance determined by the extension and compression of the resilient and deformable member.

Abstract: A database of target objects suitable for use in detecting the presence of one or more target objects in a receptacle is provided. The database of target objects comprises a plurality of entries, each entry being associated to a respective target object whose presence in a receptacle it is desirable to detect during security screening. An entry for a given target object comprises a group of sub-entries, each sub-entry being associated to the given target object in a respective orientation. At least part of each sub-entry is suitable for being processed by a processing unit implementing an optical correlation operation to attempt to detect a representation of the given target object in an image of the receptacle. A method, an apparatus and a system for generating entries for the database of target objects are also provided.

Abstract: A laser apparatus provided with an aiming beam using a method for the injection of both laser light and aiming beam forming light in an optic fiber will be described herein. More specifically, the present disclosure describes a method, an injection module and a laser apparatus designed to inject laser light into the core and aiming beam forming light into the cladding of the optic fiber.
