  • Patent number: 7473515
Abstract: Described herein are novel thermally reactive near-infrared absorbing acetal copolymers that undergo chemical and physical changes upon exposure to near-infrared radiation. Also described are the methods of preparation of the novel acetal copolymers starting either with vinyl-alcohol polymers or with acetal copolymers. Also described are the methods of use of the new near-infrared absorbing acetal copolymers in coatings used in lithographic offset printing plates that can be directly imaged with near-infrared laser imaging devices in computer-to-plate and digital offset printing technologies. The novel acetal copolymers are also useful in photoresist applications, rapid prototyping of printed circuit boards and chemical sensor development.

  • Patent number: 7470860
Abstract: A polyphase bus bar mounting structure mounted to a support structure is disclosed. The support structure may comprise any of a rack, wall or a segment of a wind turbine tower. The polyphase bus bar mounting structure has a plurality of cylindrical tubular conductors arranged substantially parallel to each other. Each of the tubular conductors has first and second opposing end portions adapted for connection with conductors of other polyphase bus bar mounting structures. Insulation surrounds each of the tubular conductor. The bus bar mounting structure has first and second connectors. The first connector fixedly mounts the cylindrical tubular conductors adjacent the first end portions thereof to the support structure. The second connector flexibly mounts the cylindrical tubular conductors adjacent the second end portions thereof to the support structure.

  • Publication number: 20080316764
Abstract: An LED module is described with a base 10 made out of a heat conducting material. An LED element (32) is arranged in a cavity (11) of the base. A collimator reflector (70) is formed by reflective surfaces (24, 64, 66a). Three of these reflective surfaces (66a, 66b, 64) are provided on a plastic insert (60) received in the cavity (11). A further reflective surface (24) is provided on the base (10) itself. This surface (24) has a straight border line (50). The collimator reflector (70) is arranged to reflect light from the LED (32) so that a cut-off (72) is formed by the straight border line (50). By thus integrating the cut-off, as the most critical optical element, into the base (10) itself, high accuracy is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20080278061
Abstract: The present invention relates to a LED module (10) comprising a substrate (12), at least one LED chip (20) mounted on a first side of said substrate, and an optical element (21) covering the LED chip(s) (20). The substrate (12) is further provided with at least one via channel (22) extending from the first side of the substrate to a second opposite side of the substrate, whereby the via channel(s) is provided with conducting means for electrically connecting the at least one LED chip (20) to a control circuit (32). By providing the substrate with via channels with conducting means, the control circuit may be connected at the second side (the bottom side) or at the edge of the substrate. Thus, no top mounted electrical interface is required from the substrate, which is advantageous with respect to miniaturization, light emission, etcetera.

  • Publication number: 20080273460
Abstract: A system for synchronizing a first network device and a second network device. The first network device comprises an interface configured to release over a communication link a first signal carrying a first data stream clocked by a first clock signal. The second network device comprises an interface configured to receive the first signal over the communication link. The second network device also comprises a clock extraction module configured to generate an extracted clock signal from the received first signal; and a data coding module configured to clock a second data stream with an output clock signal selected based on a speed of a locally generated clock signal relative to the first clock signal or the extracted clock signal, thereby to produce a second signal for transmission from the second network element to the first network element. By clocking the second data stream with the fastest available clock signal, greater link utilization can be achieved.
