  • Publication number: 20120279239
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for low-temperature cooling/liquefaction of a working fluid, in particular a working fluid including helium or consisting of pure helium by means of a refrigerator/liquefier that includes a working circuit provided with a compressor station and a cold box. The refrigerator/liquefier subjects the working gas within the working circuit to a cycle that includes, in series: compressing the working fluid within the compressor station, cooling and decompressing the working fluid in the cold box, and heating the working fluid with a view to the return thereof to the compressor station. The compressor station includes one or more compression levels, each one using one or more compressors mounted on landings.

  • Publication number: 20110139598
Abstract: The invention concerns a distillation column (1) comprising means (21) for conveying at least one mixture to be distilled to the column, means (23) for drawing at least one fluid enriched in one constituent of the mixture from the column, inside the column, an evaporator-condenser (3) and means (25) for conveying a gas to be condensed and a liquid to be evaporated to the evaporator-condenser as well as means for removing the condensed gas and the evaporated liquid, at least one module of packing materials (5) located above the evaporator-condenser and at least one firebreak barrier (7A, 7B, 7C) between the evaporator-condenser and the module of packing materials.

  • Publication number: 20060294178
Abstract: A carry-ripple adder having inputs for supplying three input bits of equal significance 2n that are to be summed and two carry bits of equal significance 2n+1 that are also to be summed. A calculated sum bit of significance 2n and two calculated carry bits of equal significance 2n+1 which are higher than the significance 2n of the sum bit are provided at outputs. A final carry-ripple stage VMA may be used even after a reduction to three bits.

  • Patent number: 6919535
Abstract: An electric heating device as supplemental heating for motor vehicles includes as the heating elements power transistors directly mounted on the printed circuit board. For efficient removal of the dissipation heat from the power transistors the latter are in direct contact on their underside with a cooling element via openings in the printed circuit board. In order to simplify manufacture, the cooling elements are formed in two pieces: the heat conducting disk with a small thermal mass insertable into the opening of the printed circuit board, and the cooling body which can be connected to that heat-conducting element.

  • Publication number: 20040084431
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electric heating device as supplemental heating for motor vehicles where the damper register and the control unit are integrated into one structural unit. For controlling the heating elements of the damper register power transistors directly mounted on the printed circuit board are provided. For efficient removal of the dissipation heat from the power transistors the latter are in direct contact on their underside with a cooling element via openings in the printed circuit board. In order to simplify manufacture, the cooling elements are formed in two pieces: the heat-conducting disk with a small thermal mass insertable into the opening of the printed circuit board, and the cooling body which can be connected to that heat-conducting element.
