  • Patent number: 11814799
Abstract: A sweeping machine for mounting to a blower is adapted for sweeping debris, e.g., snow, from an area around an obstacle, e.g., fire hydrant. The sweeping machine comprises a rotating brush having an axis of rotation which is horizontal, a frame for the rotating brush, an arm extending from a proximal end to a distal end to which the frame is secured, a blower, and a pivoting mechanism secured to the blower. The pivoting mechanism is adapted to swivel the arm upwardly to lift the rotating brush and to swivel the arm within a horizontal plane to move the rotating brush horizontally relative to the blower. Thereby, the sweeping machine is adapted to sweep debris from the area around the obstacle by the rotating brush toward the blower which is itself adapted to blow the debris away from the obstacle.

  • Publication number: 20120329611
Abstract: Disclosed is a motorized rehabilitation apparatus and method for disabled, impaired or injured individuals, which trains a proper gait, increases blood flow, relieves stress, and reconditions lower body muscles and joints. The device comprises a powered stationary bicycle having a seat, handle grips, and rotating foot pedals that receive motive input from an electric motor and user input. The device further includes a pair of thigh braces that are connected together between the user's thighs via a hingeable link and chain that controls and trains an individual's limbs through the pedal rotation. The disclosed method further combines the present bicycle device for rehabilitation in conjunction with visual stimuli in the way of a three dimensional television display that stimulates endorphins, relieves mental stress and allows the motive input from the bicycle and mild user input to exercise the limbs of a user without focusing on the rehabilitation activity.

  • Publication number: 20110195131
Abstract: Disclosed is a high efficiency disinfectant cleaner that is stable and shows antibacterial activity. This disinfectant cleaner basically comprises nanoparticles of silver, copper or gold; at least one surfactant which includes a quaternary ammonium surfactant; a solvent; a gelling agent; and water. Thanks to the use of the gelling agent, the disinfection cleaner remains stable and homogenous. The nanoparticles are kept in suspension, since the gelling agent does not allow deposition of them. Since deposition at the bottom of the solution is prevented, agglomeration to ineffective bigger size particles is also inhibited and the disinfectant stability and efficacy are conserved. The improved stability of the composition and the synergic effect of specific ingredients improve the antibacterial efficiency by decreasing tremendously the required killing contact time.
