  • Publication number: 20150336782
Abstract: A container opener is configured to remove a lid from a container. The container opener has a housing configured with a top slot and a front slot. An adjustable blade is inserted into the housing through the front slot and mechanically coupled to a movable jaw member. A slider and locking unit inserted into the top slot and attached to the adjustable blade such that movement of the slider within the top slot moves the adjustable blade in and out of the front slot. A stationary jaw member is attached to the housing. The movable jaw member is configured to be placed a distance from the stationary jaw member in order to hold the lid such that rotating the housing removes the lid from the container.

  • Patent number: 8528836
Abstract: A leak stopping sprinkler head includes a hollow body that has an upper portion and a lower portion fluidly connected to a valve body. The upper portion has a spraying nozzle and a first internal diameter. The lower portion has a second, larger internal diameter. The valve body includes a valve seat fluidly connected to the lower portion and a water supply. A hollow spheroid is larger than the first diameter, smaller than the second diameter and has perforations for passage of water. A rigid rod connects the spheroid and a sealing disk for the valve seat. The rod is sized to hold the disk away from the valve seat when the hollow body is intact. Destruction of the hollow body permits the spheroid to move out of the hollow body, pulling the rod and the disk upwardly, causing the disk to seal the valve, stopping the flow of water.

  • Publication number: 20110114748
Abstract: The system includes a water source, tubing sections, sprinkler heads and a drainage system that collects excess water from the sprinklers and provides a gravity-fed path to a collection point at a sump below the collection point. A sump pump is located within the sump and supplies pressurized water to the sprinkler system. A water line is controlled by a level shutoff switch, and provides water to the sump, filling it prior to operation of the sump pump and the sprinkler system. A timer controls the level shutoff switch, causing the sump to be filled at a predetermined time. The timer controls the pump providing water to the sprinkler system after the predetermined time for a predetermined duration. A pressure sensor is fluidly connected to the system between the sump pump and the sprinkler head and electrically connected to the timer and the pump, cutting power when system pressure drops.
