  • Patent number: 11459251
Abstract: In the field of wastewater or effluent treatment, a method for treating wastewater includes a first step of treating carbon contained in the wastewater by means of oxygen, a second step of treating the nitrogen contained in the treated water at the end of the first step, a third step of determining a ratio between a concentration of carbon and a concentration of nitrogen in the water at the end of the first step, a fourth step of controlling the supply of oxygen necessary for the first step as a function of a difference between the determination carried out in the third step and a strictly positive setpoint of concentration ratio. A device implementing the method is also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 30, 2018
Date of Patent: October 4, 2022
    Assignee: SUEZ GROUPE
    Inventors: Irène Mozo, Marc Caligaris
  • Patent number: 11447409
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the biological treatment of nitrogen in the form of ammonium in wastewater, by nitritation in a biological reactor, comprising: at least one step a of aerating the biological reactor containing the wastewater to be treated, at least one step b of eliminating at least part of the nitrites produced in step a, and a step c of extracting, from the reactor, a fraction of the sludge resulting from steps a and b. The invention also concerns a method for the biological treatment of nitrogen in wastewater, by nitritation/denitritation and/or deammonification, wherein the nitritation is implemented using the nitritation method according to the invention.

  • Publication number: 20110068056
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the biological treatment of an effluent to be treated and containing at least two forms of pollution, one of which is more easily biodegradable than the other, which comprises using a main biological treatment area in which the raw effluent is contacted with biological sludge adapted for consuming a first form of pollution that can be more easily degraded than a second form of pollution, wherein said method is characterised in that comprises collecting a fraction at least of the biological sludge which is isolated at a distance from the main biological treatment area in a so-called bioactivation area and under aeration and time conditions adapted for triggering in said fraction the development of new biological functions capable of consuming the second form of pollution, and further recycling at least a portion of said biological sludge fraction towards the main biological treatment area.

  • Publication number: 20100163486
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a coagulant product. It is characterized in that a starting material is prepared containing sludge resulting from the treatment of drinking water and an ore containing iron and/or aluminum, said starting material undergoing acid attack to form iron salts, aluminum salts or a mixture thereof. Application of said coagulant during implementation of a physico-chemical step of the treatment of waste water and/or industrial water.
