  • Patent number: 10619297
Abstract: An apparatus for producing an assembly of filamentary elements that are wound together in a helix includes a twisting device, a preforming device, and an assembling device. The twisting device is structured to twist at least first and second filamentary elements individually, such that each filamentary element is twisted separately from another filamentary element, to produce at least first and second twisted filamentary elements. The preforming device, which is arranged downstream of the twisting device, is structured to preform each of the twisted filamentary elements individually into separate preformed helixes, to produce at least first and second preformed helixes. The assembling device, which is arranged downstream of the preforming device, is structured to assemble the preformed helixes into an assembly.

  • Patent number: 10378128
Abstract: A facility for manufacturing at least first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements, in which each of the first and second assemblies includes a plurality of filamentary elements wound together in a helix, includes an assembling apparatus and a splitting apparatus. The assembling apparatus of the facility assembles M filamentary elements together into a layer of M filamentary elements around a temporary core, to form a temporary assembly. The splitting apparatus of the facility splits the temporary assembly into at least the first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements.

  • Publication number: 20170321376
Abstract: The method allows the manufacture of at least first and second assemblies (26, 28) of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements, at least one of the first and second assemblies (26, 28) comprising several filamentary elements (14) wound together in a helix. The method comprises a step of assembling M filamentary elements (14) together into a layer of the M filamentary elements (14) around a temporary core (16) to form a temporary assembly (22), and a step of splitting the temporary assembly (22) into at least the first and second assemblies (26, 28) of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements.

  • Patent number: 9586237
Abstract: Device for scrubbing a metal wire, including means for feeding and running the wire (F), at least two pairs of rotary brushes (21, 22) having a radius r, the axes of which are substantially mutually parallel and perpendicular to the direction in which the wire runs, application means, suitable for contacting the brushes with the wire via the circumferences thereof in order to exert a given pressure on the wire (F) while the device is operating, and means (31, 32) of adjusting the tension of the wire are provided directly upstream and downstream of the assembly of brushes.

  • Patent number: 9194813
Abstract: Method for detecting and evaluating the protrusions that appear on cords coming from a twisting/rubberizing process, by the digital processing of the image of a layer of cord formed by a number of turns wound around the core of a spool (4), which method comprises the steps during which: A) the raw digital image of the surface of the layer of cord over one complete revolution of the spool is taken using a linear camera (1); B) the raw image is displayed flat so as to limit the influence of the variations in lighting and in the brightness of the wires; C) the flattened image is segmented so as to reveal the dark areas that contain protrusion areas; D) the segmented image is a processed using a series of morphological processing operations in order to separate and select the shapes likely to represent protrusions and areas likely to represent shadows; and E) an evaluation value is assigned to the final image obtained and the evaluation value is compared with a threshold value.
