  • Patent number: 7664195
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and a device to increase the bit rate in a communications system comprising N transmitters (2N) and M receivers (3M), with M greater than or equal to N. The method comprises the following steps. a) simultaneously sending different messages on several of the N (2N) transmitters, b) simultaneously receiving the superimposition of the messages sent during the step a) on several of the M (3M) receivers or reception sensors, c) estimating the characteristics of the transmission channel for each pair constituted by a transmission sensor and a receiver sensor, d) jointly estimating all or at least the majority of the messages received in taking account of the signals as well as the characteristics of the transmission channel. Application to GSM signals and to systems of unicast transmission and multicast transmission, namely multipoint-to-point and multipoint-to-multipoint transmission.

  • Patent number: 7454289
Abstract: The method in accordance with the invention, implemented with the aid of at least one pair of antennas, consists in performing: a normalized spectral analysis before intercorrelation of the demodulated signals (I, Q), by the code and the carrier, a phase coherence resetting of the signals before recombination, a phase offset measurement carried out by a true intercorrelation of the homologous satellite pathways by interferometry of the two signals arising from one and the same satellite and received respectively by a pair of antennas, then in performing a reduction of the initial ambiguity removal search domain for the determination of attitude of a vehicle by interferometric GPS measurement and implementing a statistical test for the selection of the ambiguity.

  • Patent number: 7420912
Abstract: A method to increase capacity in a transmission system using parallel waveforms comprises several transmitters and at least one receiver. To determine the signal received at the receivers, the method takes account of all the parameters observed on all the sub-carriers of the majority of the receivers or their totality.

  • Publication number: 20070071135
Abstract: A method for increasing the capacity of signal transmission systems comprising NT users, a single-piece receiver receiving the mixture of signals originating from the NT users including at least the following steps: determining a qualitative information Info(Qs) of the symbols estimated for each of the NT users, transmitting this information Info(Qs) to a processing block receiving an a priori information and designed to generate a quality information Info(Qbs) on the bits forming the symbols, transmitting the Info(Qbs) to a decoding step to obtain a qualitative information on the encoded bits and Info(Qbu) on the useful bits.

  • Patent number: 6807517
Abstract: A method for estimating one or more parameters of a propagation channel, with a priori knowledge of at least one signal, in a system having one or more sensors. The method includes correlating one or more signals received by the sensors with the known signal, sampling the received signals at a sampling period and selecting a number of samples per concatenation, and determining at least one parameter of the propagation channel which enables the most efficient reconstruction of the signals via a maximum likelihood method.
