  • Patent number: 8468194
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of providing expertise based referrals can include receiving, from a first user, a voucher specifying a second user seeking expertise and a third user as a potential subject matter expert. Responsive to execution of the voucher, an instant messaging session between the second user and the third user can be established and an input from the second user indicating whether a posed question from the second user is resolved can be received. When the posed question is resolved, a role of maven can be assigned to the first user and a role of subject matter expert can be assigned to the third user. A transcript of the instant messaging session between the second user and the third user, a reference to the first user with the assigned role, and a reference to the third user with the assigned role can be stored as part of a referral transaction.

  • Publication number: 20100125577
Abstract: A method including determining a set of clusters of person records from a data source that includes the person records, where the person records include attributes and person identifiers that correspond to the attributes; determining memberships of the person records to the clusters based on a correlation of the attributes across the person records; searching the person identifiers of the person records in the memberships for matches to existing person identifiers in a distribution list; and for the memberships that include person identifiers that are matches to the existing person identifiers, suggesting other person identifiers from these memberships to be added to the existing person identifiers in the distribution list to extend the distribution list.

  • Publication number: 20090254817
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of enhancing spell check. The method can include receiving from each of a plurality of clients at least one custom term and at least one class identifier that is associated with the custom term. The custom terms and the associated class identifiers can be processed to provide an electronic dictionary that includes a plurality of shared terms. Each of the shared terms can be associated with at least one of the class identifiers to which the shared term corresponds. Each of the custom terms can correspond to at least one of the shared terms. At least one of the shared terms can be output to at least one of the plurality of clients.

  • Patent number: 7335471
Abstract: Mutant RNA polymerases of phagic origin in which the peptide chain is modified by substitution, deletion or addition of at least one amino acid, the modification having the effect of reducing the sensitivity of the RNA polymerases to the initial transcription sequence of the DNA sequence coding for the RNA, for a method for production of the RNA, or proteins coded by the RNA, from given nucleotide sequences, comprising a sequence of DNA coding for the RNA, the transcription of which is placed under the control of a promoter recognised by wild-type RNA polymerases and the mutant RNA polymerases as above. The method has a higher yield of RNA than the yield obtained when using the wild-type RNA polymerases in the presence of the same non-consensual ITS as that found in the sequence of DNA coding for the RNA.

  • Publication number: 20040126842
Abstract: A process for producing predetermined recombinant polypeptides or proteins, comprising expressing the polypeptides or proteins in Escherichia coli (E. coli) strains whose gene coding RNase E comprises a mutation such that the enzyme produced upon expression of this mutated gene exhibits reduced activity for degrading the messenger RNA (m-RNA) encoding the polypeptides or proteins, compared to bulk mRNA, the mutation not significantly affecting growth of the E. coli strains, and wherein the mutation corresponds to the substitution or deletion of one up to all the nucleotides located in the region delimited by the nucleotide at position 2193 and the nucleotide at position 2975 of the DNA sequence coding the RNase E represented by SEQ ID NO: 1.

  • Patent number: 6632639
Abstract: The invention concerns the use of Escherichia coli (E. coli) strains whereof the gene coding for the Rnase E comprises a mutation such that the enzyme produced when said mutated gene is expressed no longer has a degrading activity on mRNA, said mutation more significantly not affecting the growth of E. coli strains, for implementing a method for producing specific exogenous recombinant polypeptides.
