Abstract: A subscription-based system for providing commerce information for one or more mobile devices for one or more merchants, featuring a subscription-based method for presenting commercial resources to a mobile device. A client application is executed on the mobile device, wherein the mobile device is coupled with the subscription-based network, followed by retrieving commerce data from the merchant databanks of the subscription-based network based on the location identification sub-system and represent on the display device. Thereafter, the method includes receiving input of the subscriber, through the subscriber input device, regarding selection of goods or services required by the subscriber; prompting through the display to make a payment of the selected goods or services offered by the one or more merchants; and executing the payment by preparing a payment ledger with details of amount transferred and then transmitting the payment ledger to the server in the subscription-based network.

Abstract: A cutting tool for cutting a workpiece such as a rope or a web includes a body defining first and second channels closed by respective first and second movable gates. A first cutting member is at a narrow end of the first channel, and a second cutting member is at a narrow end of the second channel. The body has surface portions adjacent to the second cutting member that are adapted to deform a flat workpiece engaging the second cutting member into a non-flat shape to increase the stiffness of the workpiece as it engages the second cutting member.

Abstract: A method and apparatus provides a mask key that is used instead of mask data. In an embodiment of the present invention, a write mask key is generated by a memory controller and transferred to a memory device that uses the write mask key to determine whether to write a data value to a storage array. A plurality of decoders, an OR logic gate tree and a binary propagation tree is used to provide the write mask key that reduces latency while using the approximate same circuit area and allows for the use of standard software tools in an embodiment of the present invention. A plurality of log2 decoders is coupled to a plurality of OR logic gates in the OR logic gate tree.
