Abstract: The invention relates to a method for evaluating muscular proteolysis. The invention is essentially characterized in that it consists in determinining the Cathepsin L content and/or mRNA content thereof in a muscular sample or blood sample from the human or animal body and includes a muscular proteolysis evaluation agent in order to carry out said method.
