A skin temperature measurement is carried out on the measuring location (32) on the body. A signature (36) detectable in the infrared range and a sensor system (16) sensitive in the infrared range are used. Both the detection of the infrared range signature (36) and the measurement of the skin temperature at the measuring location (32) on the body are carried out by means of the sensor system (16) sensitive in the infrared range.
